Think that was the idea when James was coming, injuries have meant we have been short of wide players,
Problem is, who do you play on the right?
With Clarke still recovering and Douglas injured, had no option but to play him there. Maybe now, Alioski back on the wing...Not sure I'd want that though
Even though Alioski on the wing isn’t preferable Pablo in the middle gives us a platform / axis.
Poor Pablo. He is like a lone wolf in that midfielder.
I would be tempted to give Shackleton a go.
Klich and Roberts not doing much.
Need Clarke back for his pace.
Again...A huge mistake with our inability to recruit in January.
Roberts is not a number 10 for me.

On yesterday's performance, Roberts isn't any number. Was truly awful and him dithering and getting disposessed led to their goal. Played as though he had lead boots!

I firmly believe it’s because he has some responsibility. Whereas when he’s upfront I feel he’s very positive.
Pressures getting to a few players I believe, we are all down so will the players be, need to all go again on Friday
I like him as a striker just don't see him as a number 10
I tend to agree that Roberts is better as a striker. No way is he a playmaker. He's shown what he's capable of in both roles. If Bamford (who is lacking match sharpness) plays Roberts should be on bench and vice versa until Roofe returns.
Roberts has been excellent. Will be a top player. He's played very well in the 10 role.
Has one poor game and you lot jump on his back.
Play Douglas at left back, push Alioffsideski to wide left, Pablo at 10 and Harrison on the right. Roberts can compete with Bamford for starting spot.
I can see the logic of playing a specialist LB ie Douglas in place of Alioski but has anybody else been very disappointed with Douglas? I recall when we signed him everyone saying what a bargain we had got, best LB in the division, great set pieces, great deliverer of crosses etc etc. For me not that good defensively and yet to see his value going forward either.
Re Pablo he causes teams problems wherever he plays however the real issue is he is our only creative spark. Teams know that if they can stifle him there is no one else with that bit of guile to split open a packed defence. As has been said so often on here we do not have anyone with out and out pace to run past defenders (Clarke maybe but missing at present). As stated by others on other threads we have become predictable and opposing teams have worked us out I am afraid
