Nailed on.

Complete justice as he should have been off at OT

It was soft but fack it - he shouldn't have been playing this game to give that peno away. Hope the snake Di Maria enjoys his beer tonight.

Does it matter, based on ex players opinions it’s no the ref the VAR guy and BTsports resident ref said it was!

Fack I completely forgot he should have been sent off in the first leg. That evens it out then!

We are in the world of VAR. they will go for us and against us but football will never be the same again. Been watching it all season in Spain. Bit of a passion killer at times but it does give you a bit of hope that something the referee may have previously missed is seen by the magic eye

I think the defender was unlucky but it was a handball.

He see’s the shot coming and it looks to me he’s left his elbow out but tries to be clever by leaving his hand on his hip to con the ref. Even if that wasn’t his intention he still turned his back against the shot ignoring all responsibility to where it could hit him.

You get away with it in most games but with VAR more will be given

None of the players even appealed for it they all went to take the corner and then everyone got puzzled with the ref.

If you jump up like that without showing any attempt to minimise your arms touching the ball then you risk getting called up on for a penalty against you.

The actual incident showed him jumping up on the turn. Before he was fully turned with his back and head towards the goal he had already seen the shot coming and he turned back and on the turn, he lowered his right arm down. By doing that, you as defender should know that the chances of the ball hitting you in the arm would be greater. The chances of that shot was likely to hit either the side of his back or his trailing arm.

I still think it was a harsh call but a right one.

Was it Fack, but who cares

Prem, the ball at that speed and so close to the defender I think you can excuse them in not being able to tuck their arms in so quickly. I didn’t even realise he should have been sent off at OT anyway, karma I guess.

Dalot did.

Tonight has reminded me that we truly are the greatest club in the world. So many miracles have been delivered by this club and it’ll continue in producing them. I could never have envisaged this three months ago.

It was a clear penalty according to the law.

The more I see it the more I understand why it was given. Still extremely harsh for me though.

Put it this way, I would be absolutely livid if we conceded a pen like that.

But PSG only have themselves to blame. They could've put the game to bed at Old Trafford and then again tonight. Far too complacent and in football, we all know that a one goal game is never over until the last second,

He was the only one

Dalot appealed immediately.

According to the current laws of the game it is was handball and penalty was the correct decision.

You can make a case that the current law is too strict I guess ...

I've never seen a more blatant handball.

Fair enough, I missed Dalot.

I’m seeing clips of Saha, Cantona, Pogba and Evra at the ground going crazy proper French connections at the club.

Yes the speed of the shot was quick to anticipate. But in the midst of VAR now being available, especially after last night's incident - players should be made more aware that certain aspects of the game will be analysed more intensely.

Without VAR, PSG would have been through.

I'm not going to dispute that.

Also when Rashford took pen everyone was waiting for him to shoot before running. Massive contrast to Arsenal pen in NLD. VAR means players behave.

posted on 6/3/19

He had his arms up and didn't take responsibility for where the ball may go.

This is exactly what the ref on BT said and it's spot on.
