It says in the home end, don't see anything with family stand, if that's the case then it just might have stopped anything bad happening!..

Not a good idea taking a baby,(or kids!)into the home end wearing the away teams colours!..

If you click on the link and read the fathers tweet it was in the Family Area.

The kids were wearing LUFC socks. That’s about it.

I think if any Bristol City fans were going to attack a guy there with his two year old in the family stand then really they should be the ones getting evicted, no?

Lubo, in the 70's I was at a game, Leeds City center me and me mates were heading towards the ground,(nearly always walked!)there came a group of about 6 people in the opposite direction with an older woman crying here eyes out!..

With the group was a man,(I'll say man so that people know I mean human!)he had any eye like Mike Tyson had tried to use for a game of golf, blood pouring from his nose and mouth, looked a mess, I think it might have had something to do with the ManU shirt he had on!..

He was mentally disabled and I think the woman must have been his Mother!..

I'd think anyone that wants to hurt someone won't care to much about their kids!..

I have been in the family stand at away games many times Millwall, Cardiff, Bristol City. Was @ MKDons when about 50 of our lot got moved cfrom their family stand into the away end....pricelesss. Was at Peterborough when we scored about 200 of our fans went mental in the family stand, they were not moved. So why kick tyhem out just move them to so called safety.

I was in the family stand at Bristol when 2 fans got attacked in the so called family stand, knocked down the stairs end over end. And 10 lads got kicked out over the other side near the away supporters......But Snodders scored a brace so all was good I think if you are respectful then no issue

I think people are forgetting when the south stand was the family stand and both sets of families mixed. My wife and two children and me at that time were season ticket holders and mixed with other fans underneath the south stand. It can work in family stands, but not anywhere else in the ground.

I understand the concern that having mixed fans could lead to a loss of atmosphere. I don't think it would work in football. But plenty of evidence that atmosphere will be just as loud, if not louder with mix crowds.

You could not argue that there is anything but an intense rivalry in State of Origin. Crowds there are mixed and it hasn't dampened the rivalry or the noise at all.

It sounded terrible for me until I have been to sporting fixtures with alcohol and mixed crowds and it was brilliant.

I go to Osnabrück most home games and a lot of away, we get beer all the time before and after the game at the Caravans they use as Bratty Stands, and we get beer in the stadium you can drink while watching the game!..

Yep, its no fun for some when a goal is scored, I've had a shower a few times!..

Games that are known as high risk you'll have heavy Police cordons and fans kept well apart but none high risk you'll get some fans mixing outside the ground and some'll even have a drink by your Bratty Stand!..

Your just rubbing it in LufcG…………….I could murder a Bratty and a couple of bottles of Herforder
