Half of this season played under a manager angling for the sack

Football is a team game. Forwards need midfielders to give them good service. Midfielders need the defenders to give them the ball where they are not under pressure etc. To easy to blame forwards alone.
And we are still finding out feet after moving on from Jose and have only had three months to do it, not all season.

Playing under Jose will do that to u.
Have a full season under ole and see how they get on

I'm not blaming them. I'm asking if they are / will be good enough to win titles and Europe an cups.

Who knows, you answer it. The future over five years is impossible to foresee.

I believe Rashford can be a superstar but I think Lukaku's limit is clubs outside the top six.

He'd be a good squad player for us but that is not what he would want.

At least you have goals from midfield to compensate

All of asked is do they get off likely in comparison with the stick Lukaku gets and if we think thwybwill be good enough for us to challenge.

I think he will, yeh.

We've mostly seen him as a wide forward / winger and we need to give him time to develop as a central striker.

I tho o that's more to do with the fact his best attribute is pace which is best employ3d wide.

Can't think of many title challenging sides that give a kid time to develop as a central striker these days (except Mbappe who is an exceptional talent in a weak league and supported by Neymar and Cavani)

Yes, it'll take balls but Ole has them.

Understand about pace being a strength but he's very good on the ball as well and I have always felt he can be developed into a top, top striker.

He (Ole) does now but will he when he has objectives to achieve ? I'm not so sure.

Using comparative stats you clearly are proposing they do
Stats that in the context of this season are not relevant

My view is that both Rashford and Martial have huge potential but we can't afford 2 young forwards with potential but a poor goal return AND a pretty limited CF who gets 15-20 goals per season in all competitions.

So for me its either we replace Lukaku OR improve our other forward options.
