VVD has had a good season, nothing more. How Aguero is never a contender is bewildering to me. I will have him all day of the week and twice on Sunday ahead of all of the aforementioned players

Take away the fact that I’m a Liverpool fan for a moment - the idea that VVDs season has just been good is something that could only come from a place of bias or from someone who hasn’t seen a lot of his performances.
Liverpool went from having one of the most calamitous defences in Europe to arguably the best .. almost overnight.
We don’t have the best team but we clearly have the best player this season and that is Virgil Van Dijk.

VVd has been class and up there with any defensive performances for other sides over the years - Liverpool have a great chance of winning the title and he’s a huge part of that. Putting your head in the sand and saying ‘I hate Liverpool’ over and over again doesn’t change that.

Maybe your definition of outstanding is different to mine. Rio Ferdinand had an outstanding season 2007/08. Wes Brown had an outstanding season that season as well. VVD has had a good season thus far

So far this season...
He has been dribbled past a WHOPPING 0 times.
Raheem Sterling for me, he’s taken a step up from a Liverpool team who at the time were in termoil and he’s elevated his game to compare with the best.
Shame that now we are back on track that we couldn’t retain his services.
