Midfield for Munich

Doesnt feel right with Keita tbh. I hope he feels more settled next season.

Yeah your midfield looks about right, especially with Milner only just coming back to fitness and his form not being great.

Is Fabinho fit then?

Depends on TAA fitness too.

If we score first I think we'll go through but we will need one of our better performances. They didnt have a shot on target in the furst leg so more of that please!

Any of the four away to Bayern works for me. I'm more concerned about TAA being fit as he adds a huge amount to the side, in terms of space for the attackers, centrally by pushing up high on the right and is also vital to quick attacks from deep with his vision and quick passing into them.

As we are not chasing the game we can play this solid no thrill 3some.

Completely agree about TAA. Him and Robbo. I think that Robertson could be massive in this game as well as they have to play Rafina at right back in this game and Robbo could get at him.

Fab looked fit in training today and there was no mention of any issues with him so I am hoping he plays.

Like you said they didn't have a shot on goal and that was with Fab replacing VVD in defence. VVD is back so I think we may be able to attack them a bit more in this game.

Klopp will definitely recall Hendo which for me is a mistake

He rested him at the weekend which usually means he will play the next game. I can't see Klopp dropping his captain for 2 games. To be honest I would prefer Milner but I feel Jurgen will go with Hendo

I'd say it's more to do with him wanting Henderson available for the big game, which is why he was rested for the game on Sunday. He'll want his passing ability, energy and leadership which will be important away from home against a good team.

I don’t think Hendo and Fab can play together in a 3 tbh.

Both like to play as the 6 and Henderson has changed his position since the 13/14 season.

I think Milner should play because of his energy levels but also he’s very intelligent in pressing and winning the ball high up the pitch.

I'd say Henderson's position has changed again this season, since Fabinho settled into the side and they've played together in a three when they've both played and will continue to do so. I'm not sure why they can't both play, they've continued to demonstrate that they can throughout the season.

Unfortunately Henderson can't play a load of games in a short space of time as he has had injury problems so he just has to be managed and with the options we have, we've been able to do that well. The only time we struggled with it was when Fabinho had to play at centre back and Milner at full back, meaning Henderson had to play more games.

He's only been injured once for about 4 games this season, just been on the bench the rest of the time

Oh nevermind i misread the first bit

posted on 13/3/19

Yeah it had been well documented in the past about Henderson having an 'incurable' foot injury. He therefore has to be managed.

Henderson heel issue is in the past now. Klopp picks Fabinho and Gini as first picks in the midfield. The rest fight for the other spot.

Nah, Henderson is managed for all the most important games. Or maybe it's just coincidence and he gets dropped before the big games and Klopp has a change if heart and brings him back in for them. Maybe pigs fly and there's fairies and unicorns.

It's like people develop a dislike of a player and lose all ability to think.

For me, Fabinho is the only certainty. Hendo, I'm sure, will play, and he will play his heart out for the club. Whether his efforts will be rewarded remains to be seen.
Gini? As I've said elsewhere, he looks tired. Oh if only A O-C was fit he'd be in.

Has Jurgen taken any of the youths on the trip?

Henderson is rotated so other midfielders can get a game. Its not rocket science. When Fabinho was struggling to adapt to England Henderson was playing every game. As soon as Klopp realised Fabinho outtrumps Henderson in the deep role then Hendo become the one that was rotated.

It's not my fault you two fools are better suited to cricket than football. You simply don't understand it.

I honestly can't call this one. Hopefully a good game. Good luck with it anyway. I'm hoping you get United in the next round just for the sheer fun of it.

I hope we get City if we get through. Better get it out of the way now as if we got you in the final, I think we'd lose. Over two legs though, I'd be confident.
