All 3 have given Spurs good service, have no trophies to show for it, are senior guys in a team that's not investing in the squad and know their prospects are better elsewhere.... Madrid need an overhaul, havent spent much in the last few years. They need at least 5-6 new players, 250 million euro. Otherwise Zidane wouldnt have commited. He's not a cheque book manager (yet) but surely he needs to rebuild, which is going to cost them.
They'll be looking for the best available, like Vertonghen, Hazard, etc.
Verts will be 32 this summer so I doubt we will offer him more than a 1 year deal which we just did by taking up his option for this summer.

the players they want they could maybe get 2 for that much, that's the way the market has gone now, they do have a lot of assets though that probably wont be there next year, guys like bale, isco could easily fetch 125-150mill between them

Yep..... Also bear in mind Poch's leverage to force Levy to spend has now been greatly reduced by his lack of options at United & Madrid. He now has to back up his own words about us doing things "differently" to our rivals
I'm a big believer that actions are louder than words and right now we aint saying anything and for 18 months have done nothing. We still have no idea just how far over budget and how much of a financial hole this stadium has left us in. There is ZERO guarantee we will spend on the squad this summer, regardless of who leaves. As much as we might not think they are ready we have Sanchez & Foyth, KWP and I doubt Lamela signed an extension to sit on the bench and play twice a month..... Its more than realistic to think this will be another blank window, prices/ wages will be as high as ever

History tells us unsigned players entering the last years of their contracts tend to get sold or retained upon contract expiration on ridiculous contracts (Ozil) & i think we all agree that aint gonna be Spurs/ Levy.
Not a crisis by any stretch but defo reasons to be concerned esp with CL footy for next year no way a certainty

to be far we have been linked to minimal players. Even Lucas was a late bloomer in the gossip in Jan18

Not saying it will happen but just for the sake of argument if we don't re invest money from sales and it all has to go towards the stadium our starting 11 could look like this

Verts isn’t going, there’s been no links or rumours bar the op so Verts will be in starting line up.
Where’s Aurier & Rose or we selling them too without replacing?
I could do a line up with the full U18s players and just put if we sell everyone and not replace we’d end up with that.

Sorry, forgot Aurier but wouldn't be shocked if Rose left this summer now he got his head down and regained some fitness. I don't suppos all that stuff about him wanting to go back up North has just disappeared.
Don't get your argument about no links re Verts so he wont be leaving yet we haven't been linked with anyone for 18 months, have no money, a massive stadium to pay for yet you think there will be replacements for any players that leave..... I'm not convinced

I have no idea but based upon FACTS, what Poch has said and the way Levy behaves I'm not expecting much, if anything... Hope I'm wrong
