Enjoyed reading that. I daren’t even think about Saturday’s game - so much could depend on the outcome. My nerves are shred. I love watching our team this season, but each game that is left until the end of the season has become huge!

Thanks for that, Mighty Leeds. Whatever happens this year, we have been royally spoiled with the quality of football served up by our beloved team. Just enjoy it, every moment of it. Bielsa is a gift from the footballing gods to answer the prayers of our long-suffering fans. The cake just needs a little more icing, starting on Saturday...

The football has been excellent. Even when we've lost, most of the time we've deserved something out of the game. Saturday certainly seems the next defining moment in our season.

Great article. Sums the club up and these little tin pot clubs in the Premier League with goal music and clappers need replacing with real clubs like Leeds.

Call me pedantic, but I don't really agree with his use of the phrase "win at all costs mentality". We have a positive, "winning mentality", yes, but it's based on a method (Plan A), a work ethic, superior fitness and team-spirit. . "Win at all costs" suggests a range of things: cheating, brutality, indiscipline, sticking a big lump up front and going long-ball if Plan A isn't working, etc.

Portraying "Spygate" as symptomatic of a "win at all costs" mentality is wrong. Having other teams watched is a manifestation of Bielsa's obsessive thoroughness of preparation. Obviously, at some level, its purpose is to prepare the team in a way that will help them to win matches, but that is several shades different from "win at all costs".

Superb read and absolutely spot on, especially the part about us going from winners to being soft and poked at by smaller championship sides. Now we do have our edge back indeed.
