Odds on English semi , could it happen Don 😃
Can only see this continuing. Liverpool and City are now top European clubs whilst the other 4 are all capable of beating most.
This is what happens when you don’t have Arsenal getting kicked around in the competition.
Don, four teams through is good, but I have had my doubts over how good some of these European teams are now. Real Madrid and Bayern are clearly way past their best. Juventus are being propped up by a 33 year old, and PSG are way overrated. CL is up for grabs this years. Spurs if they put their mind to it would have as good a chance as any over two legs, especially playing CL games now at the new ground. No doubt though Spurs will pull Barca again though.
Great performance by Pool last night. Looking forward to the draw tomorrow and hoping we all draw non English sides. Pride of London.

As long as we avoid Burnley or Southampton we will fine
My order would be: Porto, Ajax, United, Juve, Barca, Liverpool, City

Hope Spurs get a European team, don`t want an English team, that would be so boring. No preference really, every team left is going to be hard to beat.

Arsenals presence caused the likes of United and Spurs to go out in the group stages? Interesting that we have that much influence over your teams

The routine last 16 exits were becoming very tedious.

Ah, the other teams got bored by Arsenal losing in the last 16 so didn't bother progressing themselves. Interesting.
Personally I don't see what affect Arsenal had on the 3 other English teams, but hey ho.
Good magnanimous article to log-in too.
OP
Arsenal and Chelsea are just cuuunts of clubs and any competition is better without them.

Have no issue with giving Liverpool credit mate. You have been fantastic this season
Nice of you to say, good luck for the rest of the season (except for the game with us!)
I think all 4 clubs have chance. Just want Spurs to avoid Juve.. They are far too savvy for us.
Expecting Porto and Ajax to be drawn in the same half of the draw, making it the "easy half". Probably with one of the English teams and Barca. Then the other 3 English teams and Juventus in the other half, making it the hard route.

but we both WIN competitions every now and then, surely that's better than just participating, and never winning, like other clubs.

You trying to put a downer on it Sandy?
Football's always gone in cycles, and there's a fair chance we're now witnessing a change that's well overdue.
Teams age, managers and stars move on, and rarely do transitions work out seamlessly at the first time of asking. That's what happened to the English sides despite the cash windfall a few seasons ago, it's happening to Bayern and Madrid now, and will probably happen to Barça once Messi starts to fade.
You're unfair on Juventus though. They've been knocking at the CL door for several seasons now, and signing Ronaldo might just prove to be the factor they were missing to tip the scales in their favour, just as he proved to be the difference in them being turned over by Madrid in the past two editions.
Turning over a 2-goal deficit in the CL knockouts against Atlético is no mean feat. Since Simeone took over, nobody had ever come back from even a 1-goal deficit in Europe against them. Also, Ronaldo was far from being the only outstanding performer the other night. Bernardeschi, who I never even remembered seeing play before, was absolutely top drawer. They have experience in spades in every line, and for me have to be considered the main threat for the English sides.
I don't think Barça are at their level, nor indeed at City's or Liverpool's, although you never know what they're capable with Messi in the side.

Are not Barca clear at the top of La Liga, a league that has had the last three CL winners. An on song Barca are still better than anything on offer in the UK.
