The thing is sometimes people say things but then contradict themselves with their words.

Following the release of Keane's autobiography in 2002, Håland and Manchester City stated that they intended to take legal action against Keane.[19] However, it emerged that Håland had stated on his personal website that he had been playing with the injury to his left knee a few months, that it did not receive a knock in the game to his left leg (Keane went for his right leg), and that Keane did not cause his injury.

I think I just saw him in a book shop over the road screaming at a copy of Roy Keane's autobiography.
Just on the Keane one, the issue was more the admission of intent from him rather than the actual outcome of it - in terms of what it said about him. It may well have been sensationalised to get publicity for the book though (and it succeeded in that) as he backtracked a fair bit himself
I argued with Suarez at the time that I would have advocated a ban for life, it is mad the detachment to reality that some people get with these things at times.
Reading that back, it sounds like I was having an argument directly with Suarez, should have said about rather than with!

Yes, how dare we judge a man who has bitten three different people, used racial language as part of insulting someone and spends a lot of every game trying to con the referee.

Get real.
Unfair to completley judge a person on a few acts is my point especially when you don't know them. Judge the acts sure, he's a scally on the pitch.

If you want to compare a few digs on a forum with the actions I’ve just described then that’s your prerogative.
Personally, I think that’s ridiculous and I doubt you’re as forgiving to people guilty of these types of offences away from football.
I guess the fact that he played for Liverpool means you’ll be that much more lenient, which I think is sad.
No doesn't matter that he plays for Liverpool I'm not bothered judging people I don't know for stuff the did on the pitch. It's sad to do this.

It’s incredible that you change your view simply because it happened on a football pitch.
If this was some random guy who had a criminal record for these things, you’d presumably be entitled to male a judgement.
