If I was going to put my mortgage on the matches, I’d go with the following:
Quarter finals:
Juve to win
City to win
Barça to win
Liverpool to win
Semi finals:
City to win
Barça to win
Final:
City to win
But then, anything can happen in football.

I think that's pretty accurate to be fair. I think people underestimate Porto due to us smashing them last season. That result was unreal. Before that they hadn't lost at home in Europe for 2 years. This season they have just knocked out Roma and are unbeaten at home again. I fully expect us to progress, but it won't be as simple as last season.
They set up in the worst way against us last year. Completely unaware of what we do best. I doubt they'll make the same mistake again. I expect us to go through by a couple of goals. I think both Juve and Barca go through by more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe I just think, the odds are slightly stacked against Porto, have beated an english side since 2003/04 in europe over two legs and haven't beaten us in 6 games. I am just surprised by the odds.

Do you mean unbeaten this season in the CL at home?
Because they've been beaten twice at home in the league. In fact they've already dropped more points in the league this season than they did in the entirety of last season and are currently behind Benfica (albeit on GD).
I seriously doubt we'll walk through them like we did last season, that was an incredible result, but I can't agree that we've got the closest tie! We've got the game most would have wanted and the game that gives us the best opportunity to progress.
And Porto lost at home in the CL group stages last year so they hadn't been unbeaten in Europe at home for 2 years.

Would you not prefer City to stay in the competition? Going out at the next stage, and you lads going through, would give them more time to prepare for their league matches at a very crucial time of the season. If I were you I'd be hoping they go all the way to the final.

momentum is a funny thing in football. Thats what Pep is banking on hence why it was important for them to go ahead of Liverpool before the fixtures get ugly.
The only problem City have is injuries and 3 intense matches against Spurs will result in injuries in my opinion
