No Surprise there, and he would do well for them. 1 vs 1, i hardly ever see the guy get beat, I'll go as far as say he is miles better than Young when it comes to defending. Young is of course a better crosser of the ball than him.

I should have said, as long as we buy someone better to replace him.

Would be a slight upgrade on the departing Lichtsteiner as 3rd choice right back.

Need to replace Lichtsteiner in the overpaid, over the hill position.

Was reported a couple weeks ago that he was leaving. Arsenal are welcome to him.

Perhaps we can persuade them to take jones too.

My thoughts exactly. The last time he played for us was very similar to the last time G Nev did. He was just so finished.

I always have a feeling of dread selling to other PL outfits, because our dead weight seem to have their only worldy against us. From busting shins to goal of the season.

Would happily take Valencia, even at his current age.

He hasn't been a beast against anyone since LVG was our manager.

Think you are being a bit harsh, vc. I for one think he is better than Young defensively. I know that is not saying much, but we have just given Young a new contract. I reckon he can do a job for Arsenal in their fight for top 4.

This. It’s a position that’s needs addressing in the summer. People will say what about Dalot and he has obvious but he’s not ready to be 1st choice right back just yet.

The bloke is done at the highest level and was never anything particularly special during his entire career. We have a ridiculous wage bill so why on earth would we add a player who'd need big wages, offer little and have zero sell on value?

I have always rated Valencia. Physically no one gets the better of him

Can he play centre back as well?
