I hate international breaks.

Thing is, I just don't connect with them, so maybe it is a personal thing and you lot really look forward to them and I'm in a minority of one.

I normally hate them but not so much for this one as it sets us up now for the run in and fair chance of deffo having Mount back with TL getting some game time under his belt with Wales, two key players I feel for us at the business end of things.

If there is a downsize, it's that Tomori or Keogh who may be involved at international level pick up a knock, I include Wilson in that even though he hasn't been at his best recently but has played his best football with Mount so may still be instrumental with Mason returning.

Don't see why we had to play on Wednesday. Our games are moved about willy nilly by the EFL for the convenience of the tele but can't be changed for the convenience of the supporters. International breaks are a waste of time. I am not interested in England never mind Andorra.

That is the downside, something to like that could derail our season totally as opposed to only partially at the moment.

Anyway Happy Birthday Young Igor, many happy returns and may your hangover tomorrow be one that St Pat would be proud of

I'm not the biggest rugby fan but in order to maximise viewing figures I don't understand why they didn't coincide the climax of the 6 nations with footballs International break. Lets face it next weekend we'll all be desperately looking for some sport worth watching.

Yes it is a pain but also a chance for some players to get break or to get fitter than they currently are and some treatment. And I trust we will come back stronger.

PaulB,
Can you imagine the RFU and the FA getting together and discussing agendas ?, I can't.

I like watching international football. I support Derby and England. There’s tribalism in both, I suppose people who draw a line around a town or city feel differently when it’s a country but I don’t feel that way. I’m not jingoistic and there are plenty of aspects of nationality I don’t agree with but the nature of competitive sport means that you align yourself with a group and hopefully you keep it in perspective. I don’t equate it with how our government behaves or the dodgier aspects of our history. All nations have skeletons in their cupboards. I was born in Derby so that’s who I support, and I’m English so I’ll support England. I think we’re at a very interesting time with lots of potential for international success in the next few years. I don’t go along with the traditional cynicism about the national team. When we think of people from abroad it seems natural that they support their country but for ourselves there sometimes seems to be a feeling of shame or embarrassment about it. Not for me.

Just think what international breaks will be like when the bbc & itv lose rugby union and its no longer 'free' to view
Still there is Leeds v SheffU today
Happy B'day, Igor

My lad doesn't play for them now, he had a change of job so couldn't commit to playing regularly for them.

Vic's are skint TBH so can't attract as many players as they'd like.
My lad had a few games for Graham St Prims last season too

Back to the rugby, have the Irish lads been celebrating St. Paddy's day early? They have been lucky to score nil up to now.

I've always had a soft for the Welsh.

Happy for them.

After all St Patrick was one of them.
