Said exact same thing with Chelsea when they played a final and got to penalties, we lost the game. We are not beating City over 2 legs not a chance. We will give them a decent crack at the new stadium, but not a chance are we progressing. Sorry, but realistically this Spurs side are not good enough to beat city over 2 legs, just my opinion.

Not disagreeing with your points, but the biggest factor is that they have better players and experience of winning.

We do have a chance of course, but I just can't see us going through.

Would be great if you guys can win the 2 champions league games and lose the Prem one

Yeah I'm hopeful more than anything. We need to start quickly and impose ourselves straight away on city as you can bet pep will be telling his players that to subdue the crowd.

Problem is, City basically have two full squads capable of beating us.

They'll have no problem with less days rest as they simply have the personel to rotate.

I can't see City getting 3 points and knocking Spurs out of CL. There is a good chance each team will enjoy success in one or the other.

OP

Match is 50/50 in my opinion. Yes they probably do have better players, but better players do not always win every game they play. I give Spurs a really good chance over the two legs. Writing Spurs off is a bit silly in my book, the players owe the supporters for their poor form of the past month. And get the best possible team on the pitch (no silly rotation from the manager), and they will have a decent chance of going through.

Question - if you had the choice of progressing to the next round of the CL or winning the prem game, or getting the three points in the race for the top 4, which would you take?

No brainer really, getting through to the next round. Two fold, for a start you can make the points up to finish top four with the other games, and what is the actual point of being in the CL next season or any season, if you are not going to make a real go of the competition.

beat liverpool in the league. beat city in the CL. lose to city in the prem.

We need the type of referees that Pool enjoyed in both their legs v £ity last season, and then we should have a great chance. Sadly, this is unlikely.

Is winning the Prem game more important than getting into the semis of the CL?
The question is about next season.....
It would be nice to play Barca again!

That's how I see it too

The question is: the one game we will win, will it be critical or not for further CL success.

Are the comma key and shift broken on your keyboard?

I think the return of Dele will be crucial for us against City and Kane getting few games under his belt will fire him up and hopefully sharpen up his finishing more.

We need Winks to perform the way he did against Barca and Lloris to curb his kamikaze moods

Don't think City have the encounters in the bag yet.

Spurs need all their attacking stars available for the return leg and to avoid losing at home, in an ideal world.
I see spurs posing a threat in the 2nd leg and it's gonna be interesting as I can't see Fernandinho playing all 3 games against you.

City are insane squad wise but they are always at their best when he plays imo. Even then I can see spurs scoring at city
