Raheem Sterling

I think he is City's most important player.

Glad people are starting to realise how good he is. Not far off world class now imo.

He is world class IMO, he would play for any team in the world. Fair play to him.

Yeah, he’s progressed into the player I thought he’d become back in 2014

Fair play to him, he joins Kane as England’s other world class player (a list that imo will grow)

Two seasons now he’s been playing at what I consider a world class level, a level I admit I never thought he’d reach. Just shows you what hard work can do, he’s an example to all the young players coming through.

Only question mark was for England but hes now producing the goods there too. Needs a good tournament because he was generally poor in the world cup.

not really, being poor for England/any international team at a tournament is not a barometer for how good a player is, its a good sound bite to use by fans trying criticise a player but hes done more than enough at club level to considered a brilliant player

I don't think there's ever been a player that I've wanted to do well more than Sterling. Very happy with how it's going at the minute, I think Guardiola came in at the perfect time for him.

Does Messi have a question mark for you? Because he stinks at National level?

He looks more confident in front of goal now which was always the problem with him.

Sterling took a lot of flak for his poor performances at last World up and rightly so. Has always struggled with decision making and timing of passes but that has improved. Now England's most important player.

Nah Kane is still England's most important, but Sterling is getting there.

He was no worse than a lot of other players at the WC.

The pundits elected him as their scapegoat and everyone bought into it.

I don’t think it was rightly so at all, that was due to the tactics Southgate used in playing 352.

Sterling is a winner. Kane goes missing in the really big matches. Sterling is far more important to England right now.

I don't see how tactics affect ed Sterling missing easy scoring chances at WC and going for personal glory by shooting from ridiculous angles neglecting simple passes to colleagues for easy tap-ins. Other than that he did OK. Criticism totally justified but somehow became a racism issue.

You could easily replace Sterling with Kane there tbf

Very underrated player. People are staring to recognise him for his goals and assists, even though they have been coming for four or five years now. It's the tactical side of his game where he is underrated. I thought this is where Rodgers worked wonders on him at a young age. Playing him in a variety of positions, at full back, on the wing, through the middle. He is a team player, tracks back, is deceptively strong and does his main job which is to provide and score goals.

Indeed you could but Kane scored more than he missed, Sterling missed more than he scored.

Seems like a decent guy and a team player. Good to see him continue to improve, not so good for the rest of league.

Yes, it’s phenonemal that a player bought for such a pittance could turn out to be very good.

At the time, “Liverpool have had City’s pants down” was probably the most frequently dropped line

Along with we still have Jordan Ibe who is a better player. Grated

Of course it was.

And Pep is a magician for making that Sunday league player suddenly look great.

Well done everyone.
