Early 30s is like an extension of the 20's these days for footballers. They can do it for longer now.

Messi plays with Suarez so appreciates how good he is.
Remember England strikers like Owen and other raved about Emile Heskey while all the fans thought he was just a clumsy donkey who rarely hit a barn door with a banjo.
Players understand the game, not all fans do.

He's also listed one of his best mates in football and fellow Argentinian. Not that Aguero isn't a great player, but you could just as easily slip Kane in instead.

Once you learn how to understand that just by playing for Liverpool does not catapult you automatically onto these lists will go some way into easing your pain.

To be fair these lists are based on opinion, and you can tell from this list the type of player Messi values. All round skill.

For example I think Hazard is the best player in the league and funny enough among premier league players was the best at the World Cup.

Hazard has not had the benefit of playing under Pep, Klopp, Wenger where players like Sterling, Mane and Sanchez suddenly look better than him to the unitiated eye.

There is a fair shout to have the likes of Sterling and Mane among the best out there at the moment.

Suarez is twice as good as Salah and Kane. He’s near the end of his career but when he was in the premiership he was easily the best player at that time. Only Messi and Ronaldo were better at that time
