Will United even get 8 figures for all these players combined? Crazy considering how much was spent to bring them all to OT. Fred is another one I can see OGS actively trying to bin
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We wouldn’t get 8 figures, clearly not as three of them would be leaving on a free. Sanchez approx 15-20m, Rojo 10-15m and Darmian approx 10m.
However we would be saving approx 1m+ a week.
I expect especially considering we didn’t spend huge amounts last summer we have a very large pot of cash. I think we will see a minimum of 4 players coming in all of quality
I believe Wan Basaka will be one and one of Alderweireld or Koulibaly. Then a CM and RW although I think we need x2 CMs personally. Maybe Rabiot from PSG and a big signing would be ideal. Can’t see any of our big players leaving ie a Pogba, DDG this summer. Either way it’s going to be one huge summer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sanchez we will lose (even more) money on, because we'll undoubtedly end up paying a chunk of his wages either as a lump sum or on an ongoing basis regardless of where he ends up.
I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up paying the equivalent of £200k per week for the remainder of the duration of his contract.
Yes its not going to happen over night but Utd are clearly returning to the midtable mediocrity to which they belong and with Ole at the wheel too.

If he were to go to China for example I don’t think we’d carry on paying his wages. Yes we may well not get a large fee on him but I doubt we’d carry on paying his wages
It's an interesting dilemma over Pogba. We could probably get 130-140m out of Madrid/Barca/PSG for him.
For that cash we could bring in Rabiot, Tielmanns and one other and may even have some money left as Rabiot is available for free and hasn't signed for Barca (yet).
I'm tempted tbh as even though I think Pogba is a brilliant player on his day, I don't think his heart is in it for us. He had an amazing 2 months and has now given up again.
Robbing if you’re going to be a priick and take the thread off topic then do it somewhere else.

Thing is, the league is completely different these days - United aren't going to slip away from the top clubs, simply due to spend.
So we'll be up there and competing.
Granted, it takes more than that to win the title but it's different to how the league used to be, where top sides could suddenly finish in the bottom half and fall apart.
To be fair to the people running Liverpool, they've done very well to rescue the situation rather than letting the club fall into decline - though the size of the club and the global following obviously helps in that regard.
I think its great for the league to have 6 clubs competing.
Wolves, Leicester and possibly Everton making strides too.
Very interested to see who Utd go for. Looks like a big turnaround of players this summer.

I'd be absolutely amazed if anyone in China was prepared to pay him a £400k per week basic.
Most likely we'd receive a face-saving transfer fee and end up back-dooring a fair chunk of his salary, as we did with Rooney at Everton and DC.

Absolutely spot on. If he was Messi then you could understand but Sanchez wasn't even in the best form when we signed him or physical condition.
Should have lost his job over that for me. But as he's the Glazer puppet that's unlikely to ever happen. One good thing about the club possibly being sold to foreign owners is that cretin would leave most likely.

Darmian
Rojo
Valencia
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he were to go to China for example I don’t think we’d carry on paying his wages. Yes we may well not get a large fee on him but I doubt we’d carry on paying his wages
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd be absolutely amazed if anyone in China was prepared to pay him a £400k per week basic.
