Anyone else think the mountain looked a bit like Varys without his helmet on ?

I thought he looked like the white dude in Prometheus lmfao

The Arya thing bugged me bc they made it seem like she's some mythical assassin who's hell bent on killing Cersei until the Hound said otherwise.

Dunno if they're trying to make everyone seemed more humane or what but that whole sequence never made any sense to me.

Arya’s character arc has been done in three phases. The young princess, the faceless assassin and then the journey back to becoming Arya Stark. Her not killing Cersei does make sense in this regard. Good shout about the horse being Bran.

Wasn't Cersei on the very top of her hit list going all the way back to Season 1?

I fully expected the show to run the prophecy about Jaime or Tyrion killing Cersei. Guess not. The symbolic nature that they came into the world together and left the world together was a decent touch.

Yes but that doesn’t complete the character arc if you then kill her off. And given how it’s been rushed how they’ve taken king’s landing, it wasn’t possible to do that.

Why would the horse be Bran?

Also where was Bronn in this episode ?

watching from a safe distance

Surely it has to be Jon? That would be the most logical one but then GOT always tries to go with a twist, so could be Sansa or Tyrion. I’m hoping Tyrion becomes the queen slayer, prove himself a real Lannister.

I’m not sure, that’s why I’m thinking Tyrion. Jon’s the reluctant king, so someone else killing her makes sense I guess. Tyrion’s shown throughout the series he’ll change his mind over his own personal objectives for what he thinks is for the greater good. And by becoming the queen slayer it also serves as a Stark reminder that he is, after all, still a Lannister.

I was hoping the capitalisation would give it away.

still not sure how they are gonna resolve everything in 1 episode, theyll have to kill her before the halfway point so the dothraki/unsullied can also be dealt with

Have you learnt nothing? There’s a dragon that will see to that in one scene. Job done. The end. GOT_Worseastheserieswenton.

I'm enjoying the new season just as much as previous ones. Yes they have maybe rushed the two big battles somewhat but the acting, special effects and script are as amazing as ever.

Thinks it's incredible they can make something of this quality in the time they do. Every episode is now like standard movie length and we all know how long films take to produce.

Gutted it's the last one next week.

So what's the verdict on the final episode

I liked it. Ended perfectly in terms of where everyone should be. The internet will probably hate it as per but dunno what else people wanted

thought it was crap

Felt like a really weird episode, didn't really like it.

Still beyond me why they decided to cut the last two seasons from 10 episodes each to 7 and 6 episodes.

Don't know what to make of it. I guess in one sense it's the perfect ending because it ended with everything very safe and boring. There'd be no drama left in the GOT universe they left us with, and GOT has always been about that, so a good place to end.

Can't help but feel it could have been more thrilling.

Poor ending to a great show. Such a shame. To cram all they have into 6 episodes it just feels wrong. It's a victim of its own success though. Too expensive and time consuming to make.

Ah well.....

Bit of an anti climax in the end particularly for the Arya and John Snow characters.
Every episode this season has raised as many questions as they've answered
Last night it was like the writers just ran out of ideas
