It's just what we do, lose against the poor teams and beat the fancied teams. It's an enigma.

Keane must be fuming. There was a lot of experience on that pitch in Watson, Colback, Grabban and Pantilimon. So lacking in leadership.

The whole team dynamic has been lost by having to loan/buy three makeshift Centre Halves at Christmas.

We've done well to be where we are I suppose.

Yes, they’ve done fairly well considering the reason they were free/loans in the Jan transfer window was because their parent clubs didn’t want them.

Tyler Walker has hit 24 goals this season. A man option for next season?

Not won back to back league games all season, afraid to say the damage was done today with the team selection. When MON came in I said it was 5 years to late, afraid to say I have seen nothing to change my thoughts. For the squad we have we are grossly under performing, while the season is an improvement on recent years, we are still miles away from being a good team. Not quite sure how we move the next step forward but can’t see it happening anytime soon.

I don’t think things are that bad. Replace the loanee defenders with Worrall, Figueiredo and Dawson and the defence immediately looks stronger. Get Walker back in and blood Appiah. There are some immediate improvements can be made with what is already available.

I wouldn’t write MoN off. He has been successful at this level before. It took a while to turn things round at Fester, I recall...

Resist all bids for Lolley too.

Will and RFB, I know I should look at this with a glass half full attitude, especially after the last few seasons, but I'm feeling a bit robbed this season because I still believe that we would be in a better position if we'd have made sure we kept AK.

Not that I am against MoN, but I feel Karanka is a better coach. Having said that, they've both got promotion from this league.

I think today is the day we say goodbye to any faint hopes of play offs. I wish I was more positive about next season but as much as I want MON to do well and think he has experience to take us up, I’m just not convinced by what I’ve seen so far. But it is early days I suppose and we have been unlucky with injuries. Not sure we’ve made any progress since Karanka who I think would have got us closer to top 6 by now.

Bosque, didn’t see your post but think I agree. Let’s hope O’Neil can prove us wrong

Forget Dawson, I actually think he will retire, Worrall definitely should walk into the team, the others are too young to be risked by such a conservative manager. What worries me most is the manner of our performances, they are so inconsistent. Even though we beat Swansea, for 75 minutes we were awful. We need a leader on the pitch, but unfortunately don’t seem to have one.

Karanka may well be a better/diferent type of coach, but not a better manager. MON has started both Appiah & Yates; A.K wouldn't have imo.

I don't disagree RFB, but after the fighting spirit we showed, for example, against Villa (5-5), we don't seem to have it anymore. We scored many goals late on in matches under AK that we don't seem to doing right now. I don't have the answer.

I’ll judge MoN when he has had a fully fit squad to pick from. There is no question Dawson, Figueiredo, Worrall and Byram are better than all of those currently playing in defence.

Why wasn't Robinson playing today?

I actually think Forest would have been pretty much where they are now had AK stayed. It’s easy to use the rose tinted glass approach. AK didn’t have half the injuries to deal with that MoN has had. Most of the defence and Grabban out for significant periods of time, for example.

Especially against a team that relied on set pieces to create chances.

While Matty Cash does take a good throw-in, he doesn't get the height and distance that Robinson does.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Colback, is season is almost over, 6 games left and one booking from a 3 match suspension, and can’t see him not getting that booking. I like him as a player, but he really must cut out some of the cards. Regarding Robinson’s omission today, and last week, baffling. Osborn is not and never will be a full back, he brings good things to the team, but not as a left back, is MON making a point with Robinson ?, not sure. The team as a whole looks dis jointed and lacks leadership.

I would have liked to have seen if Yacob could have brought that bit of leadership they were lacking when 2-1 down. Pele has been a bit middling for me. Not sure he will be on MoN’s transfer target list.

I think Pele could be moulded into a great player. He's not really done anything wrong as far as I have seen. Seems very cool on the ball and can pick out a pass. With time, he could develop into a really good midfielder.
