I think Pele could be moulded into a great player. He's not really done anything wrong as far as I have seen. Seems very cool on the ball and can pick out a pass. With time, he could develop into a really good midfielder.

Maybe. Not sure he is any different/ better than what they’ve already got. Depends how much he is available for.

Just seen the ‘highlights’ on SSN, I can not understand how, for the Millers 2nd goal the guy can be left completely unmarked on the 6 yard to head home unchallenged. We looked so much better defensively with Milo and Benny, nothing against Wague, but for some obscure reason MON decides to change. I thought we had turned the corner defensively, but, typical of Forest we have turned right back.

The goals were embarrassingly poor. Most of the team were in the penalty area and there were four players on the line with Pants for that second goal. Shows the faith they have in him. Not even half a challenge. Shocking.

Wague has popped up with a few goals but isn’t as solid as Milo.

I’d have them in training tomorrow defending set pieces for several hours.

That's our season over & done with.....oh well maybe next season?

See you all in the Championship next season. Five points to catch up isn’t doable.

Sorry, but I hope we have a manager in place who can beat ..Rotherham...without playing like Rotherham.

Awful.

"Oh well maybe next year"

Maybe but only if we have the same manager from August until May. I'm starting to think that might not be the case

Janko not played in ages. Osborn at LB against a giant. Watson still in the midfield? Murphy playing for 90 minutes. Carvalho with a cameo. No Milosevoc. Robinson on the bench. Byram plays 90 god the U23s and Janko drafted into RB.

Pants
Byram Milosevic Benny-Loon Robinson
Colback Pele
Cash Carvalho Lolley
Grabban

With a decent manager we could win all six with that team.

Saw some fans blaming Carvalho again. He only got 15 minutes?! It’s just pure deluded management. End of.

Tbh I would probably give Steele a chance in goal, Pants is not inspiring confidence in his defence, also Yacob for Pele, not forgetting Colback is one booking from a 3 game ban. I do agree with the comment about deluded management, unfortunately MON is proving to be a bit of a dinosaur.

So stupid that we forced karanka out.....

At the rate we are going MON is in danger of losing his job.

Karanka did at ours the same as he tried at Boro, basically he can’t handle the pressure of being a manager, he is, probably like McLaren a very good number 2.

He is similar but different from McClaren in a way. He is quite spikey and doesn’t take kindly to others trying to have an influence. Unfortunately, the board will always want to have their say. Takes a strong personality to be able to slap them down. Clough used to manage it but the unrivalled success he enjoyed at Forest put him in an impenetrable position.

McClaren seems to be too nice and I think players take advantage of him. I can’t imagine him really getting to grips with some of the big personalities in a changing room.

Both are quality coaches I feel but have their flaws as managers. Karanka with an assistant who can shield him a little from some of the things that get his goat could be a success. McClaren seems like everyone has got his number and know how to get their own way. Can’t see him ever succeeding anywhere again. Shame as he seems a decent bloke but football is a ruthless business.

Not totally dis similar to MON, who however as Roy as a number 2, and I can’t recall him being discriminated as a ‘shrinking violet’, which is quite surprising given our recent woeful performances, particularly away from home. I sincerely do like MON, and enjoyed watching him play, but I have serious reservations about his ability to succeed at Forest. The players are individuals and have not ‘bonded’ as a team. Maybe a whole sale clear out in May and let MON compile his own squad, but if this happens the owners will expect an awful lot better vfm than they are currently getting. And rightly so.

Got to hope that MoN is busy formulating a plan for the summer that involves getting a squad together that is far more cohesive than the current one. Too many similar 6/10 performers have clogged it up a bit.

What’s happened to Bonatini? Is he still there or has he skunk off back to West Mids?

posted on 7/4/19

Or slunk!

I suppose skunk is more appropriate as he has stunk out the place whenever he has got on the pitch.

All I can recall of him is missing that absolute sitter at the Bridgford End in his first game. Forest needed someone to come in and make up the shortfall Forest were suffering with Grabban being injured. He’s been a compete waste of a loan.
