"I do not know what is going to happen this summer," he tells Sky Sports. "I feel really good here, but I have to see the other options too. That is normal, and I do not have to rush myself.

I think that means that he wants to stay at Leicester as he is currently enjoying it there but if a bigger club comes in for him in the summer he could join them if their offer was good.

Good that we're making a positive impression on him, and he must be aware that both clubs are likely interested in some sort of exchange between him and Silva. Indeed it was interesting to see that Monaco lost for the first time since Silva's arrival to the bottom club the other day - and significantly Silva wasn't playing due to suspension.

If we are in with a chance then great. But ultimately if other, bigger clubs come along and claim him in the summer then we just have to take it on the chin and move on. The whole situation feels very hard to predict.

What he says isn't very encouraging, he's basically saying I quite like it here but if a bigger club comes in for me I'll be off there thanks.

I haven't thought it's a smart move taking him on loan with no buy option, all we're doing is giving him/Monaco an excellent shop window - and he is certainly looking like a very shiny starry object in said window at the moment.

If we don't get him then it won't have been very beneficial having him here and building the midfield around him. Certainly entertaining but not very helpful for next season.

I absolutely want to be wrong with this, and a glimmer of hope is given by Silva playing well at Monaco giving some possibility of an exchange plus cash deal.
Which would be great of course.

Our best Hope here is that Monaco want Silva and we say the only way that deal will happen is with Tielemans comingt he other way.

Have a feeling he’ll go to spurs. Hope I’m wrong.

This is why we’re trying to do the business early. Although Tielemans’ comments, while positive about us, quite rightly state that he has no need to rush. I would expect his future to be settled relatively early in the transfer window though. While I too reckon Spurs could be a good fit, he’ll be our first choice target and may be put off by being someone else’s third and seeing things drag out as a result.

He also implies in that article that he likes the setup and the fact he has Ndidi next to him. If Spurs go in for him, it’ll be as a centre mid rather than a replacement for Erikssen.

Don't forget the most important elements is Silva Monaco want/need him we won't sell him to them unless they sell us Tilly. so they will want us to have him.
More important than the extra couple million

Worst case scenario is he decides to go for the bigger club, we then can't sell Silva and we're stuck without a decent alternative and have to drag a happy football playing Silva back where he don't want to be

Cheesy - all the players seem to be saying they are much happier under Rodgers with his clear tactics and motivational style.

Even Puel’s man Tilelemans saying tactics are now clearer. Maybe Silva would be happy to come back and play under him? I’d be happy to see it given a go under Rodgers where that role doesn’t need as much defensive responsibility.

I hope you're right Nev. I have doubts, if it was such an obvious and acceptable exchange why wasn't it already done?

Nun Because Monaco will want to extract the best price and a bidding war or interest will push up the price.
But we don't want to go all Teresa May and look desperate even though we are

I'd be very surprised if we managed to sign him. We have the money but he oozes class and is still only 21. His performances since coming here will not have gone unnoticed.

He seems to have settled in quickly and appears close to the squad already that and Silva playing well at Monaco may be 2 things we have in our favour though.

I think we’ll pay and over the odds if we need too. It’ll be Tops first signing as chairman and I think he’ll want to make a statement on what he wants going forwards. It’ll also be worth paying over the odds if it secures Maguire and Chilwell by showing what we are as a club.
