The Who Quadraphenia ...swapped it for Siouxe and the Banshees aged twelve.
But still love the Who....especially Behind Blue Eyes..
I’m listening to Paul Cauthen today.
He’s like Johnny Cash’s sequel.
Also, every now and then I remember how much The National speak to me. They’re not a band for everyday listening but very potent.
All I heard growing up in the late 60s was Johnny cash in our house. Then glam rock arrived and my first band I chose for myself was t rex, loved Marc bolan.
Was a dj in the late seventies playing nightclubs so was into the late seventies disco music, still love the disco scene.
New romantic music followed groups like ultravox, human league etc. That's where I tend to stop, think late 80s and the whole of the 90s were guff but hey guys that's my opinion just.
My overall bands are 10cc elo, beach boys, the stones and nick cave whereas Johnny cash never left me, have most of his cds.
Ps bluebell I played space and Donna summer few times on the turntables, great songs
☺️
Ps forgot to mention the ska movement where the specials were brilliant.
I am gibbering to myself in this post ain't I lads
