Yeah

Also, ain't it brilliant scoring goals in the first half?

Creating chances, playing to players strengths, scoring goals. It’s almost quite enjoyable being a leicester fan Cheesy.

But what about the dark gray cloud that hangs over us?

Do you mean England under 23 international Damari Gray who for the last two weeks has been better than the Barnes fella on the other side

That’s him. Useless.

He isn’t capable of the backheel pass Barnes* played against Hudd.

* can I just add I’m not entirely convinced by Barnes yet either. But he gets given the same 2 seasons as Gray before I judge 😉.

Sorry Mersey, you've been there done that already, surely there's something else than stating the obvious?

What about the Dire straights the Club is in, how poorly it's being run?

posted on 8/4/19

Maybe when Albrighton is fit Gray misses out, problem with that is we lose some of the directive-ness with Albrighton. He needs a good old fashion centre forward to play with, the guy at Fulham will do.

Gray has improved and is still young. He's quick too, something Gally was wanting for.

I'm still uncertain about bringing Barnes back, I'll be happier once he's put the ball in the back of the net.

If you want genuine controversy, we shouldn't have taken Tielemans on loan without a buy option; unless that is we manage to secure his services. If we don't, then I can't see the long term benefit of having him here now.

What about a striker? Mitrovic (bad attitude?). Rondon? Who is going to come and sit on the bench behind Vards? Of course, if Brendan can wave his magic wand, we may already have a decent striker in Ian.

posted on 8/4/19

Would prefer Rondon to Mitrovic if we’re going for that type of player, but I don’t understand why we’d need someone to lead the line as such in Rodgers system.

Would he switch to 4-4-2 and a diamond?

posted on 8/4/19

Has Mitrovic really got a bad attitude or is he just been badly managed?

As always with these things it’s who we replace him with.

I agree that Gray remains an incredibly frustrating player. I also agree that Barnes is a work in progress.

But let’s sign someone who is obviously better before we let Gray go. It should be possible to find an equivalent with a better end product with our buying power, but last time we tried replacing a winger we bought Ghezzal.

You suggesting Diabate and Gray aren’t the players to replace Gray Joby?

Ghezzal

now there is one shocker of a player..

posted on 8/4/19

I actually still like Ghezzal. I’m just not sure he’ll ever be quick enough for the Prem. Think he could be quite successful in the European leagues like France or Spain.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why, has Demarai got a twin brother with a consistent end product?

I’d actually forgotten completely about Diabate, but I wouldn’t want to be relying on him as a regular starter.

Ghezzal does have moments - the goal against Newport and his free kick against Man Utd are examples, but at 26 I would be expecting a bit more by now for this level.

Good translation Joby. In fairness I agree on Ghezzal. Unless it was purely his confidence which was totally shot (and this is a possibility), he did have quite a poor run of 4-5 games where he was given an opportunity

The fans didn’t help him on that front, but if he can’t improve from there he obviously isn’t good enough. I always like to see what happens to these “maybe” players when a new manager comes in, and he looks to have slipped further back. I suspect he isn’t the type of player that is suited to Rodgers quick press. That said, I’m not sure Mahrez would have been either so we’ll see.

But, with the evidence so far he just looks a yard off the pace of the premier league despite having loads of technical ability and skill. He plays slightly I. Slow motion. Reminds me of Ulloa on that front, or dare I say it, Kermorgant!!

For Diabate, I’d like to see more of him in Rodgers system. He came in and his direct running and skill looked dangerous.

Problem is, we don’t fully know what system Rodgers will deploy yet, but on evidence so far I don’t think we’ll ever be playing with genuine wingers. That might spell the end for Diabate.

On Gray, does anyone think he could play in the Tielemans role should we not land him in the summer? It won’t surprise you that I don’t think he’s got the brain for it but Puel seem to like him down the middle, albeit as a false 9 🤦‍♂️

Gray playing in the Tielemans role!

I'm going to take it that you really are bored Mersey and struggling to find things to say. Either that or you've been ingesting some interesting substances!

Tielemans role? I’d rather see him in the bench role.

posted on 9/4/19

I get the impression Brendan likes him, lets see if he can finally step up next season, if not then he can go.

He's the sort of player opposition fans appear to rate highly for absolutely no reason, I don't think we'd struggle to get a decent fee for him if we did sell.

- Ghezzal, who failed in France and doesn't look up to in England, could excel in Spanish or Italian football...
- Mitrovic isn't a troublemaker or someone we'd want out of the club within two months of signing him, he's just been mismanaged...
- Gray could play the Tielemans role...

...

Agree with all of it. Nothing controversial at all there.

Well I did call this the thread controversy 😂

Ok I admit it. I’m bored. Bored bored bored!

I will give you something Hamer was unlucky (thank goodness) not to save Vardy's Penalty,at least he went the right way. Despite the fishing from TB etc on Saturday he wasn't as bad as you guys hoped stopped about three goals could do nothing with tilly's ronaldo inpersination and once madders got it over the wall not going to stop that.
Yes he's not as good as Kasper but Kaspers not as good as Kasper thinks he is great shot stopper but i wonder if BR has other plans?
Gray must have something three managers play him and England under 23's pick him. Maybe he should go out on loan Celtic anyone? UTF's enjoying the game again.

I think you can always question a goalkeeper on a freekicl if it goes in on your side Nev. Otherwise don’t bother with a wall!
