A great night for Manchester United fans, by all accounts.
A 0-1 defeat-but-it's-actually-not-really-a-defeat-it-was-a-great-performance-despite-no-shots-on-target-and-Messi-didn't-even-score, as well as Ronaldo scoring away in Amsterdam.
Vintage stuff.

Nobody is saying that.
We weren't good, although we manufactured enough chances to score had we had shooting boots on.
Barca were the more effective team given their game plan. But they killed the spectacle by playing halfway line keep ball and bored the living hell out of anyone unfortunate enough to be watching.
They might have been able to take us apart if they'd remotely tried. But we'll never know, because they didn't even try to score for more than half of the game.

I don't disagree with that. However I would argue they could have come away with a draw or a defeat if they played another way but got a 1-0 win away from home due to how they played. As you say we'll never know but I'm sure they'd have taken a 1-0 win no matter how they played, before the game started.
