Summer Trannies

Arsenal need a CB or 2, a LB, 2 CMs and a couple of wingers....

The situations at Barca and Real suggest they will do big business (Barca already started) which will make some big players available. Should be a very interesting summer.

It does feel like a summer where most teams need 5/6 players.

Arsenal, United and Spurs all in that bracket imo and Chelsea would be if they could buy but will have to fill it with loanees returning.

I'm certain there will be more money spent in this window than ever before.

I think at United it will depend on who does actually leave.

There is talk of Mata, Herrera, Pogba, DDG and Valencia is already confirmed leaving

Ideally we would also want Young, Rojo and Sanchez out the door. Matic could go or we could wait another season but I'm not sure that he will cope with the higher fitness requirements that Ole requires.

Replacing seven is unlikely but as I said it really looks like we need to wait and see who is on the outs first. If no one was leaving I would have said we need a CB a RB and a RW. We have backup in the youth team and Ole seems keen to open up the slots for them, which is fine if its only 1 or 2 at a time but could be problematic if we have major injuries.

In terms of who coming in Bale should be a non starter but it will tell us if Ed is picking up the cues from the manager or not.

Alderweild is an interesting one. I think he could have the same impact for us a VVD did for Liverpool but we need to keep him fit, and that could be an issue.

Lots of talk about Bruno Fernandes which I wouldn't be opposed to, depending on the price.

In terms of the wingers there is talk of Odoi-Hudson, Sancho and Hirving Lozano, with the latter being the most likely from that scenario. Not sure on the other 2, I think they would simply cost too much so I would be opposed to it on that front, they aren't worth the quoted price and in OH's case he is a left winger where I think we are well stocked at the moment.

All depends on what we lose though and potentially where we finish in the league.

I had a look at the United squad and out of contracts etc. It gave me the fear seeing how much needs done and you have to question why the contracts have been allowed to run down to the stage 6 first team players are available on free transfers.

Realistically he will need a couple of seasons to get that squad into shape.

Alderweireld at 25m is as good a bargain as you can get these days and i expect to see him rock up at Old Trafford over the summer.

Yes, Toby, à right winger and à top striker. A RVP can cover up a multitude of failings elsewhere. Then see who we can promote, we've got some great youngsters.

Fekir is a no go, we'll likely buy someone else instead though for that role

Possibly another cb and lb, wouldnt be suprised if there was a striker signed aswell

Ideal summer for Spurs in my opinion:

Outs:

Toby
Eriksen
Janssen
Llorente
Lamela
Aurier
Sissoko (sell him while his value is up a bit. Can't knock him for his effort but will never be technically good enough for a top four team)

Ins:

Wan Bissaka
Grealish
David Brooks
Calvert Lewin/Tammy Abraham
Joachim Andersen/New CB
Andre Gomes/New CM

Further to my comment, I'd prefer Timo Werner over Calvert Lewin/Abraham but don't think it's a realistic option.

Agree with this 52 but we also need to replace who is walking out the door with first team quality imo and then the youth we have can make up the squad numbers.

Thats a lot of changes for just one window though, lucky if you get half that.

Ole has a huge job.

We need for certain:
A CB - Toby?
A RB - Wan Bissaka
A CM - ??????
A RW - Sancho/Hudson-Odoi?

That's not including if certain players leave ie Pogba, DDG. Then throw another CM and GK(although Romero could be a stop gap).

Players that should go include:
Sanchez
Young
Jones.

We have a couple of players like TFM coming back from loan that I'd also like to see be given a chance plus the young guys like Gomes, Chong and Greenwood. CL football next year has to be the aim, as a squad we are so far off the challenging after years of mismanagement. I just hope the board and fans realise this too.

As a new CM I wouldn't mind if we put in a bid for Tielemens - think he is having a decent loan at Leicester and his club might be open to seeing him move.

For Liverpool, ideally a full back that can compete/cover both right and left. Milner currently does that admirably but a specialist would be preferable imo. No idea who though.

Competition/cover for forwards has to be high on the priority list. We've been very fortunate with regards injury (or lack of) to the front 3 but the drop off in quality if we did lose one is alarming.

In terms of exits I don't see too many. Clyne, Ings and Grujic will probably make permanent moves. Karius too if we can find a buyer. Mignolet might go, in which case we'd be in the market for a backup keeper. Sturridge might leave. Moreno's contract is up and he's definitely off.

I hope it doesn't happen but I fear Shaqiri may leave. He played a big part in our early season but has hardly featured recently and with Lallana ahead of him and Ox on the way back, I can see him moving on.

I think it looks weaker after as well.

Eriksen to Grealish is like falling off a cliff.

Calvert-Lewin does a power of work but his finishing is suspect

I do expect Eriksen, Alderweireld, Llorente and Jansen all to leave but wouldn't replace Lamela, Aurier, Sissoko yet unless good offers came in for them.

You would expect you might get somewhere between 70-100m for Eriksen and 25m for Toby.

I would expect that to be the budget for whoever Spurs have to bring in and tie down. I struggle to see them coming out the other end of the window with a better side unless there is investment.

TFM doesn't look very good though so i wouldn't expect him to get much game time.

The scary thing about United is their two undisputed stars De Gea and Pogba could both be off. Lose the two in one summer and it could end up being nightmarish.

Losing De Gea, Darmian, Valencia, Herrera, Pereira and Mata on frees is going to be costly.

Are they still speaking with any of them apart from De Gea to extend?

From what Ole has said this week they are still speaking to Mata and De Gea and I expect Pereira as well. Valencia has already been told he will be released and Ole claims to have no knowledge on the Herrera situation but I suspect we are also still talking to him, whether its productive or not I don't know. I'm surprised by the links to PSG though for him.

Klopp doesn't seem to rate him for some reason so I don't think it's an option. No point having someone that isn't realistically going to challenge for a starting place.

Chelsea fans how do you see the team lining up next season and who is in charge? Will Hazard be around?

No Hazard is gone its the worst kept secret in football
Sarri might still be in charge would ultimatley depend on whether we keep our recent form up,

A top 4 finish or europa league win is his target, miss that and roman says bye bye

tricky to see how we will line up. we have a transfer ban looming

i reckon we could spend big in key areas if our ban gets defered.

we already signed pulisic who looks a talent RLC and CHO have emerged as first teamers over the last couple of weeks so dont see much change in the midfield and i can see Reece James coming back from wigan and playing a part.

we are short at both full backs and woefully bad up top, can also see Tammy Abraham making an appearance in the first team.

i think if we do spend it will be to buy a new striker ( again ) and a left back
