The more I see Roberts the more I thank whoever thought signing him was a good idea. That lad is easily
Prem level. Just hope we get there now and showcase
the amazing manager, character and individual skill within this team.
Deserved the win - we are a good footballing team but are wasteful in front of goal - absolutely massive win.....especially off the back of the result earlier- surely we can do it now?? 3 wins and a draw does it
Huge game today, awesome performance, did everything to win it and we got what we deserved in the end. 28 shots, attacking football, closed them down throughout, 6 on target and they only stayed in it because of their goalie
All fans think their team gives the ball away too much. I think we keep hold if it better than any side in the league. What would Wednesdays fans think about their ball retention today?
We were very good against an inform well organised team. Thought Ayling was excellent today. He’s really got his firm back and silenced the doubters.
Really like Roberts. Makes the wrong decisions at times, maybe over tries the killer pass, but he’s 20 and new to the position. Talented lad, big future.
Just seen the Sheff U match. Egan dives and handles on the line to prevent a goal. gets sent off and a penalty, but I think they should be giving a goal, penalty gets missed and Sheff U players celebrating was sickening.
It looks like they have found the mental state of mind that they believe it, and want it, for themselves, the team, the fans, and Bielsa. I don't think the remaining teams are good enough to beat Leeds, including Villa. There is a tremendous amount of pressure on the Blades now, and they will now have some very serious doubts about themselves. Easter is again vital.
To answer milkyboys question, our ball retention was poor. To be fair though that was because Leeds closed us down so quickly. We defended very well and Westwood made two or three really good saves. I was impressed with Leeds and you deserved to win. We couldn't keep the ball and created very little although I thought Hooper may have done better with the chance in the first half and had he not been injured for over a year he probably would have scored.I thought Ayling played well as did Phillips. Good luck for the remaining games. Not just because I obviously don't want Sheff Utd to go up but because I think you play football the right way
Cheers Sloppy, we've been treated to some great football this year, Bielsa has worked miracles.

We're playing Bielsa Ball!
Whether we can keep it up if we get to the Prem and whether it works is a different question, but I think we will see a lot more of this style for many teams in the Championship as the years go by.
This is essentially the same team of also-rans and never-get-anywhere's as the last few years - this is all abut Bielsa and teaching them how to move and how to play the ball about.
Even if we don't go up, this is the way football should be played
Oh wow. Not sure when I last checked the score but I honestly thought Sheff Utd had won. My smile just got a touch wider.
We can do this.
Massive weekend and the gauntlet has been thrown down to the Blades. Basham and Sharp went off injured for them, both with hamstrings, and Egan is out for their game against Forest at home. We look incredibly focused. It could be all over this time next week.
I said on the match thread how pleased I was with berardi today, for him to come back into the squad and play his first game at literally a moments notice took character.
You know what I do find j same though, that Westwood wasn't playing earlier this season, the guy is a class keeper at this level and he showed it today, if he was playing all season then maybe sheff wed would have a little more to play for
Our goal all came about from our relentless play. Wednesday defended well but it was all last ditch and you cannot keep holding out against that pressure. As soon as they cleared it, we were straight back at them. No messing around with goal kicks or freekicks or throws in. Take them quickly and back at it. That's what the goal was - Pablo takes the throw in immediately before they can regroup and gets the space to put a great ball in.
I thought it would be interesting to see how Sheff Utd handled the pressure having been the chasers all season. Well they've not handled it well and Wilder's comments after the Birmingham draw and confronting the referee today show that.
I don’t think sheff Wednesday defended well at all ( and you attack and defend as a team)
We should have won by four, created tonnes of chances. Not having they defended well
Here are my thoughts........
What a day!
Walking down to the ground trying to find any snippet of information on the Sheff utd game was itself draining. Half way down the hill and Millwall have a penalty - only to be told by the guy following us that they have just missed it! Im now around Billys statue and to my left a big cheer goes up and the rumour is Millwall have scored. My phone says 1-0. My sons phone says 1-0, my sons mates phone still says 1-0. 3 minutes later and people are still not sure whether its correct. Nobodies phones are connecting and our phones are all 1-0. Mine is saying 99th minute now and 1-0. Son is on the phone to mum at home shouting at her to find the score -she says its 1-0 and 83 minutes have gone - women!! Then the whirring stops and finally it flashes up 1-1.What a superb result.
Gave us a great chance and i thought we took it. I thought it was a damn good performance when you consider a team who have lost only 1 in 17 never really troubled us bar the Hooper shot into the side netting early on. We were very good i thought when you consider the amount of pressure the young lads must be. Remember we dont have players who have been there before and done it and we have some young players in there.
Phillips again was immense. Commanding display.
Berardi superb to come in and play like that.
Ayling on top of his game again.
Roberts i love.
Only negative was the keeper who makes too many mistakes.
The goal - just wow. Moments earlier my son had lambasted Harrison and asked for his substitution. I told him to get behind him, and that his next cross might make the different. What a great finish! Turned to my son after jumping up and he had tears of joy in his eyes. More than anything i want promotion for him. 17 years old and seen nothing but rubbish.
Home now. KFC in belly and catching up with results and social media.
10 more points.
Kebab
Having watched sheff Utd a lot lately, I think they have zero chance of getting 12 points
Not playing well at all
Kebab. I was listening in the car on the radio with a poor reception. I heard there was a penalty at bramhall lane, didn’t know who to. Then the commentator said The penalty hit the bar. Then the studio guys reported the match as level and what a great result for Leeds... so I figured it must have been a Millwall penalty gone in off the bar. Then a couple of minutes later they corrected themselves.
When they went back there in injury time I still wasn’t sure if it was an equaliser or 2-0.
I might pay the £4.49 for Radio Sheffield for the rest of the season
