Hoping for an Ayr win on Friday to give you a chance of the title still or a County win to secure 2nd place mate?

Didn’t realise that boy Harked is related to the former USA player John Harkes. I remember he was on trial at Celtic and we let him go. Think he went to Sheffield Wednesday and had a decent career.

Tough choice isn't it? I'm resigned to County winning the title so I suppose them winning would be best for us, but I'd still fancy us to secure second regardless.

An Ayr win might keep it interesting though

I'll hope for a draw!

Yeah his Dad was a very good player at Wednesday, had a good career.

Interestingly his grandad grew up literally around the corner from Tannadice which is a bit of a coincidence.

It's interesting that the former player is present tense and the current player is past tense. Anyway I wish people would stop harking on about him.

Ivan, if Ayr were to win and United won then does that still secure 2nd place?

Would also mean 3 points in it with 2 games to go at the top, would be some finish.

Ayr have a game in hand so have four games left, and are nine points behind us. but they also have a far superior goal difference so that would put us in trouble if we somehow managed to feck up our last three games.

For us to win the league, we need to win all our three games and County to pick up a maximum of two points.

Need an Ayr win on Friday then and a United win on Saturday, that would set it up lovely to be fair.

I've taken the Monday off after the cup final so i'll have a double celebration hopefully with us winning the treble and United winning the play off on the Sunday

The problem is I have no confidence in us winning all of our remaining games

ICT (a)
Falkirk (h)
Morton (a)

ICT away is obviously the hardest one but with Falkirk and Morton in a relegation scrap they have loads to play for.

County have Ayr (a), QOTS (h) and Falkirk (a). That Queens game looks a banker to be honest and that effectively ends the title race regardless of what happens in the other games.

Just looked at the bottom of the table, wtf is going on there

6 teams can still be relegated

The Championship is incredible this year, it really is. With Dobbie being out I really worry for Queens.

My prediction is Queens and Partick to take the bottom two places.

Partick v Alloa and Falkirk v Morton on Saturday are massive.

I see you are taking quite a significant interest in the Championship these days.

If Partick, Falkirk and QOTS win this weekend:

-----Pld Pts
Dunf 34 41
Alloa 34 38
QOTS 34 38
Falkirk 34 38
Partick 33 37
Morton 34 36

(assuming Morton lose against ICT midweek, if not they'd be on 37 or 39, lol).

QOTS v Partick on the last day is pretty much guaranteed to be massive for one team at least.

It's so tough to predict. I think the fact Partick have two games to play against Ayr makes it very difficult for them. The other two games are at home to a resurgent Alloa and away to Queens, which they'll hope to take points from.

No idea to be honest.

Tempted to go to one of the meaningful games. I was cycling Glasgow to Edinburgh for some reason back in September and stopped on the canal path by Firhill as noticed there was a game on.Watched the first half and I think it was 3-2 against QOTS at HT or something like that.

I wonder if there are any other grounds where you can watch for free and avoid giving a rival (next season) any money.

So many games this season you can point to with United and think "if only...". Could have still been in with a shout had we not kept shooting ourselves in the foot.
Don't think County will blow it and that leaves us with the play-offs. If it's Ayr United and St. Mirren we have to beat, I'm not optimistic.

I'd rather play Ayr than ICT to be honest, especially since Ayr have seemingly collapsed now.

After that...I think my blood pressure would prefer us to play St Mirren.

Could be ICT then St. Mirren. Not sure who I'd prefer - Ayr have had our number this season but the backside has fallen out of them. Would probably prefer whoever finishes 4th.

As for the Premiership team? Don't kid yourself.

Before Friday I would’ve rather played ICT, but I now have this sneaky feeling we would go through against Ayr (now we have that monkey off our back as it were). St Mirren... We’ve already beaten them away this season. Hamilton look much worse than they usually do (and that’s saying something) - the one I don’t want is Dundee. To be honest if they’re not going to finish 12th I would rather they were 10th. I couldn’t go through that again!!

posted on 15/4/19

For Dundee to finish 10th would require them to get 7 points from 5 games - a feat they have only managed once this season. They're currently on a streak of 7 losses - even in our relegation season we only managed 4-in-a-row.

They're down. Absolute certainties.

posted on 15/4/19

I think Dundee are down as well, although St Mirren and Hamilton are utterly kack too.

Sadly we're also kack which makes the playoffs hard for us.

posted on 15/4/19

I think everyone wants it to be between Dundee and St Mirren come the last day of the season. Live on TV. Shaking just thinking about it. Then I realise if we do get 11th then we will still have two games against United and a little bit of poo comes out.
