Not sure where rangers come into it. I rarely see them painted in a negative light in the press.

Let's call this what it is...it's an anti-celtic agenda.

That clown boyd is at it again this morning. 'McInnes will be punished but it will be interesting to see what happens on the other side. Also suggesting that someone other than the sfa is really running scottish football.

Fwiw, I think Celtic fans should just take the lead here and cut that song and a couple of others out. No need or place for it.

I couldn't believe it when I saw a headline that read 'Police to investigate McInnes sectarian chants'

I thought Celtic's statement was long overdue.

I’d rather we didn’t sing it either but in the grand scheme of what went on and was sung on Sunday, it’s another embarrassing state of affairs.

We even had that soup taker Kris Commons pipe up.

Kris Boyd also said this morning he had to call a 8 year old boy and tell him it was safe to come to the football after the Celtic late winner game at rugby park.

Hahahahaha

Jesus flooking Christ.

The only reason it’s been brought up is because McInnes reacted to it.

Good deflection tactic turns out. No different to Rangers/Gerrard and Celtic/Lennon do.

I don't take particular issue with you here NNH, nor with the opinion there is an agenda among the meejah monkeys...

But, knowing and recognising that, the fvcktards in our midst STILL played right into that agenda with unnecessary sectarian abuse of the opposition manager!

We brought it on ourselves, seems kinda apt here - We really do need to box a bit more clever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do agree the song needs to stop and we need to be more savvy with our song choice.

However, this song is the main focus for a lot of people despite everything else that went on, some things much more concerning.

We would be in a better position to deal with this if we had clean hands.

But seeing as we don’t wash...

It's about time the sectarian chanting was dealt with.

At least this time we don't have to listen to apologists claiming it's political.

Agree with Zach. The media narrative lately has been on poor fan behaviour.

This of course has looked beyond just the OF, but that defeats the agenda so is overlooked. And yes, police and government intervention has happened due to the actions of other fans.

But let's carry on boo-hooing because this time it's Celtic fans getting a hard time - which in fact is warranted on this occasion.

And the Aberdeen fans, for what they sang? It`s only being highlighted because of McInnes. I am not saying it shouldn`t be eradicated, because I hate that crap, but it`s not being discussed for any other reason.

Of course it's only being highlighted because of McInnes.

I hope we're not going down the route of victim blaming here.

Im glad it's not being swept under the carpet any longer. And any other vile chants should be similarly called out.

The media can't ignore it if figures in our game highlighted it.

Has it looked beyond the OF?

Who came out and did articles in papers or gave interviews over Motherwell fans actions? Hearts? Hibs?

Who's coming out and saying wee boys are scared to go to games due to the actions of those teams fans?

Who's come out and criticised Aberdeen fans for their behaviour on Sunday?

posted on 16/4/19

The media focus far too much on Motherwell, Hibs and Hearts and their fans misdemeanours, so it is about time Celtic got a bit of press for theirs.

Imagine if that had been Hearts fans, they would have been crucified, but because it’s Celtic they are trying to sweep it under the carpet. Hearts closed a section of their stand to try and deal with the issue. Is it time Celtic did the same? They could close that bit where the kids play dress up in army clothes.

No, I don`t mean that at all. I am ok with it being highlighted, but fed up of it being very selective. I have given my views on the crap from our support many times and want it eradicated, but If the Police are getting involved, I want to see them go after all who are doing it.

Of course the SFA/SPFL getting involved would also be useful, but as they are useless...........................

NNH, selective reading mate.

FFS people were claiming the coconut was potentially racist.

The justice minister was talking about these incidents.

Also, why the feck is Hartson not using his column to highlight the other singing?

He's part of the media. So therefore part of the problem.
