I don’t suppose we can be surprised that Derby are caught up in this, after all they are the club that had to sack their chief executive for transfer irregularities

Just to demonstrate the contrast between us and them, Forest selfless efforts to support members of the community with less fortunate circumstances, pure class

Well we beat you, and we both will be playing Championship football next year so what’s the difference?

Oh we don’t cheat to achieve average

Actually can't see anything wrong with selling your ground and leasing it back. Not even immoral never mind illegal. The club has every right to sell the ground to whom it wants and the owner has every right to lease it back to whoever they want.

I don't really think it's as bad as tax evasion, money laundering, drug smuggling or blowing up a bakery.

Well if you must Wum us, try harder.

It's a bit, get off the high horse when it comes to finances and the morality when it comes to running a club, before you chance a dig at us.

I know you are as thick as bull crap but last time I checked we are still with a chance of playoffs.

Last time I checked you are 100% of said statement.

Jeez, lying low does not do you any favours.

The forest board is a dead dog....yippee.

And I was happy to help

Didn't know you had sold your ground. That must be a big worry.

Not trying to wind anyone up here

You sacked the chief executive, so an absolute confirmation that he had done wrong.

It may or may not be illegal, but you are claiming a profit and it’s not an honest one

None of the drug dealing etc was denied and never been proven, there is a big difference

As for our board being dead, it took igor minutes to post on this thread........

We sacked Rush because too many of the appointments and transfers seemed to benefit his former employer.

Forest are owned by a man who has been implicated in far more serious matters. The fact that he has so far evaded prosecution is more to do with his wealth than his honesty. In the recent past Forest have had struck off lawyers pretending to be your CEO, not paid what you owe to players, staff, other clubs and the inland revenue. A bit worse than selling the ground methinks.

Why is it not honest to sell your ground and then lease it back. Is it wrong to sell a player then loan him back? It is done all the time. Remember selling the ground is a one off transaction, we can't do it again as we don't own the ground and in future seasons it will be another out going.

Because you are claiming a profit, but the business has not profited, it’s just been done to create a number.

If we being honest it should be viewed as a loss, as a major asset has left the business and is now owned by an external organisation.

The EFL will do what they always do, stick their head in the sand and hope it goes away. FFP is a complete farce and if selling your ground to your owners clears the decks financially, so be it, it’s not illegal or even particularly immoral, what you have to remember is, you can only do it once.If an owner has money to put into a club, as long as they guarantee it, then no problem. The EFL will only ever chase ‘soft’ targets, if they can even be bothered. Look at QPR and Bournemouth, they avoided FFP sanctions, with relative ease. Just don’t cry if the EFL ever do decide to grow a pair and come calling. We all know the rules.
On another point see Igor has surfaced again, but don’t worry he will be back in hiding when the sheep don’t make the play offs. See you next season.👍

Gibson supports boro, he has enough troubles to worry about.

posted on 17/4/19

Gibson i panicking because his yo-yo club tactic hasn't paid off this year and they have splashed over £100m in signings over the last couple of seasons! I imagine Boro's books won't be in order once the parachute payments ran out hence he is trying to deflect attention elsewhere.

Steve Gibson is one of the better owners/chairmen currently in the top two divisions.

The efl will do nothing.

Football is corrupt

Why waste time discussing his request.

If your business sells an asset that is part of its revenue for that year. If the income is greater than the out goings then that is profit for that year although the value of the business will have decreased. No false profits at Derby.

posted on 17/4/19

Derby can't have cheated though, can they? look at their gates? of course a fair few haven't actually paid of course.

When you cheat and still don't win is that a sign of incompetence or just stupidity?
