Rangers Problems

I think this is extremely harsh and you're pointing the finger at the wrong culprits here.

Let's take a walk down memory road here and hopefully this will make things clearer.

A couple of years ago you'll remember that Rangers had to play a Scottish Cup final against Hibs. You might remember it as the day when Rangers blew their best chance of winning a trophy against a mediocre Hibs team by bottling it in the last minute.

Afterwards, not much was said about it, but a few Hibs fans entered the park to celebrate. Everyone thought it was a bit of fun but actually EVERY SINGLE RANGERS PLAYER WAS BRUTALLY ASSAULTED. Or something like that, anyway.

So naturally after the brutal assault, they had to take medication to make them feel better.

But here's the thing...they have clearly all become dependent on these prescription pain killers, even the ones not involved that day, so they now go into states of delirium and that's why they talk nonsense.

So in essence, it's Hibs fault.

Yeah bad injuries have taken their toll, doubt he will ever be that player we all saw at St Johnstone again unfortunately

Big Summer for Aberdeen as well, could be losing Shinnie, GMS on frees

Lowe, Stewart, Wilson, Ball loans finished

Halford on a short term contract only

McKenna we will see

5 starters anyway needing replaced, although Ball wants to sign permanently

DM has to get it right this time

Europe will be key for Rangers again next season, should they fail to qualify then i imagine fans will already start to get impatient.

If they do out early doors too then it means less funds for Gerrard.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think we can go out with the expectation that we will automatically qualify for the Europa league.

It was a pretty momentus achievement against the odds to get to the group stages this season. And it wasn't budgeted for so that money was a bonus.

The timings of the qualifiers is brutal - you essentially play them when you should be playing preseason friendlies and trying to bed new players in.

The expectation will be we get through at least a couple of rounds of qualifiers. For me group stages would be a bonus again.

What are the fans thoughts on McKenna now that he has had a bit longer in the first team?

Is he still being rated around the £10m mark?

I have only really seen him against us and for Scotland. He looks like a decent enough big CB for the Scottish Prem but his mobility and awareness of whats going on around him kind of gets shown up at times.

Morelos made him look a bit of a mug the one game he managed to avoid being kicked to fook by Considine and McKenna for more than 5 minutes in the 4-2 at Pittodrie.

Hamish, i suspect the board will be budgeting to get to the play off round at least though which means a few million.

I do agree they are a nightmare time to start.

If it didn't start until the end of July then it wouldn't be too bad but it's the last few days of June which is ridiculous.

Especially for us who will be playing 25th May then back in for pre season on the 16th of June.

You'd need to be insane to pay anywhere near that amount for that boy.

I'd pay £2 million tops, maybe throw in a wham bar to sweeten the deal.

I rate McKenna very highly and when you look at average joes down south and what they go for I don't see why Aberdeen cant get £8-10m for him, still a young laddie so plenty time to learn and get better

can see him at a big Championship side down south

Our club is still full of losers.

Until we get rid of them we won't improve.

When your captain is a reject who couldn't get into a Wigan side that got relegated from the Championship, it says a lot about the state of things.

Signing mediocre sheidt like Stewart and Jones won't improve matters.

mental to think people rated Worrall, he's turgid.

McKenna is better than him that much is certain.

thought Goldson would be better tbh

I think if these signings are supplemented by 2 or 3 of real quality then we will move forward.

Gerrard has said that he needs players of a higher level than we have. Guys like Jones and Stewart clearly aren't them.

For me Jones and Stewart are squad players who are seen as guys that can come in and give a 6 or 7 out of ten. Like Hayes does for Celtic say.

Spending a bit of extra cash on someone like Souttar - who is a good player IMO or on a number 10 is what will make the real difference.

I think Goldson has been a very good signing.

He had a couple of games where he made a couple of mistakes and not a lot more.

The lad hadn't played for two years because of illness and he has come in and played nearly 50 games this season. And you can name maybe 3 or 4 mistakes at most that lead to us conceding?

He is a good organiser and leader - he strolls through most games tbh but people don't focus on that.

I think the one thing he needs to do is develop a nasty streak and become better versed in the dark arts of Scottish football. He is a bit too nice

He needs to learn when to chop guys down on the half way line and take a yellow for the team.

i don't think he has been horrible hamish i just expected him to be more of a standout than he has been

he's been alright, i expected him to be up with a poty shout if i'm being honest.

One example down south is Chris Mepham, looked no better than McKenna when he was at Brentford, just a year younger and Bournemouth signed him for around £12m, so don't see how his asking price is ott myself

I can easily see Rangers drug problems culminating (yeah read that word Dave) in a spot of time in intensive care.

Add to the fact that Dave King is quite an incredibly stupid cwnt then things don’t look that good really.

apprently Dave King was seen having a conversation, talking about how Rangers had won the real league and that the Scottish Premiership didn't count.

he was talking to a mop.

sad sight.

Had this mop renewed his season ticket? This is important.

Fact is that Worrall was subject of an £8-10m bid as well and he is sheidt.

The reason you might struggle to get the cash is that he plays in Scotland. Championship teams expect to pick up the better players outside the OF for around £3m tops. Guys like John McGinn who would now cost you over £15m after just one season in the championship.

If a player is proven in the English Championship then bigger championship clubs will go to the £10m for him.

If he is a stand out in the Championship and there is little fear he can step up then you are looking at £15 - 30m for a premiership team. James Maddison being a decent example.

But for a Scottish player out with the OF to go to a championship team for £10m? Not impossible but would be very very unusual.

I'd say we need 4 of quality minimum. More depending on whether we can keep Kent or not tbh, plus we'll need to replace Morelos' goals.

Don't really see it with Souttar, too lightweight for a CB in my opinion.

We need a midfield playmaker. We have Dorrans and Murphy back which will bolster the squad, but we really need a cull of the dead wood if we can offload them.
Davis needs binned

SG’s signings, then he says he needs to buy better quality. The man’s a genius. He’s cast a spell on the gullible bears who lap him up. 😂
