Apart from Messi I'm not sure any of those would.

I think we'll beat Barca. I fancy us to win it this season after the disappointment last year. We're a better team, for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We're a more rounded team. I don't think we're better though. Messi and Suarez put them on another level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What I mean is as a team we're better. However they have players who can change a whole game on their own, even if it's not going well, like Suarez and Messi. Over two legs, I believe the better team wins, they have to fight together and we have that in abundance.

Suarez does all the things Firmino does, presses, chases lost causes, links up the play but he's also a better goalscorer.

Alaba over Robbo too..... just.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Never particularly rated Alba (assuming that's who you meant).

But....

Messi, Suarez, Coutinho and Pique all start.

Rakatic, Dembele, Arthur, Umtiti and Malcom all get regular games.

We'll see. I'm pretty sure Barca will have too much for us.

I don't just think we'll beat them, I think we'll beat them well. They are the perfect team for us to play over two legs, in my opinion.

I reckon it's 50/50. I think there is a chance we'll have one of those 30 minute periods in the tie where we take the game away from them though and it will be needed for us to go through. They lack pace and mobility in midfield and are suspect at full back.

Yeah. Alba is excellent going forward and basically plays like a winger for them. I can't see them getting away with that against us.

Suarez is not what he once was. Still good but wouldn't replace any of our big three for him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Suarez is streets ahead of Firmino He does the same running but has more goals.

Suarez had a stinker last season. was awful but he has been good this season.

I wouldn't take Alba over Robertson personally, although that one is a close call.

Pique
Busquets (still a fantastic player and takes better care of the ball than Fabinho)
Coutinho
Messi
Suarez

Suarez is still a phenomenal player, when he was with us last time the impact he had on the team was beyond his personal contribution, the other attackers performed better with him there. That's not gone imo.

As for the tie, I find it a really difficult one to call. I think we're probably the more rounded team but Messi can take any game away from any team if he turns up.

Not me. He's been one of the best players I've seen this season. He controls games like few can. An outstanding player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Amazing player and only 22. He is like a faster more mobile Veratti. He is the prototype player you need if you want to press high up the field.I wish we had him next to Torreira.

Its actually the thing that holds Liverpool back from dominating europe, the type of midfielders you have bought. I dont think Keita does enough defensively in terms of the press to support the front 3. He has the potential to drive forward but its what he does off the ball that is the problem.

He’s a great player but he’s not what he was and whilst he’s got 5 assists, he’s played the full 90 mins in eight games and failed to score.

Still a better player. Kane scored 5 goals at the World Cup and Messi scored one. Wanna guess who the better player is?

Suarez was shocking last season but this season he is a beast. The first leg will be as good as the City game last night as Barca will go for it and Liverpool will score. I cant wait

Like I said. When he's through one on one and chooses to square it for a tap in for someone else, I don't really think anyone can use that as some kind of negative.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Suarez of 3-4 years ago wasn’t squaring anything.

I think KLS hasnt watched Suarez and probably used last seasons performances and this seasons stats to judge him. He will admit it soon enough.

I wrote of Suarez last season as he was diabolical especially performance wise but he has been unplayable at times this season.

Regarding the game its 50/50 in my opinion. When the draw was made I was certain Liverpool would meet City in the final but now after a few weeks the season has set up nicely for Barca and Messi tends to want to perform against the English teams judging by his all out performance at Wembley.

You would imagine Suarez and Coutinho will be eager to.These are the moments foreign players live for as the Champions league means everything for them. so dont be starting the likes of Milner or Hendo aswell.
