I don’t know about any of you guys, but I’ll be mocking Liverpool fans if they make it 30 years without a league title. That would be hilarious.
I’d also acknowledge that they deserve it if they do win it.
I don’t get what they get out of it
But TBF I get the same stick from some City fans and Scouse fans when we feck up. It’s been pretty frequent these last few years now
I get why some folk don’t play along, and that’s cool and I’m fine with that. Actually more respectful towards those that that can still manage to hold all that excitement banter in.
But sadly I’m not that smooth
The first 3 articles on The City board after last nights game were posted by United fans gloating.
Not a single derogatory article written by a Spurs fan.
As you , Paul and the others bar Melts are all over us when we lose and always were, my sympathy is not strong.
It’s quite easy not to gloat if it’s actually your team winning to be fair, that’s why it tends to be fans of other clubs that do it instead.
The problem with here is that’s become the majority rather than the minority. I get it, the rivalry side of football has never been something that’s interested me though, particularly when every debate gets cheapened by it and it’s just the same old cliches (for all clubs).
When I watch Liverpool or City over the last couple of seasons I find myself hoping we are up there with them soon, and wondering how we can improve. I don't think won't it be great if they lose and then I can get on their boards and gloat.
I do sometimes have a little ding dong with a fan from those clubs, but it's usually defending my team or a player.

Nobody can banter city fans whilst they are at the top?
It’s what football is all about. Just because we aren’t great at the moment doesn’t mean I can’t have a laugh and take the pi$$ when city lose. I’ve been getting grief for about 3-4 yrs from city fans at work and people living around me. I got grief from them 10-15 yrs ago when we were the best team in the country and lost a game. I got loads of grief when we lost in the cl finals of 09 and 2011. Don’t tell me I can’t give it back when city lose a massive game the way they did and stop them bettering our treble

It was banter. When we got best in the 2009 cl final I was getting tonnes of sheite from city, Bolton, Wigan hell even an Altrincham fan was giving it. That is what happens in football, you give it out and you take it no matter where your club is. Absolute bollox to say you can’t give out banter if your club is currently not performing
I don't think it's bollox, but I'm not stopping anyone else it's just opinion.
For example last season we got knocked out of the first round knockout stage of the CL, Liverpool got to the final, I wish we had.
I would have felt it pathetic then going on their board laughing because they lost, to me it's childish.
Where I do agree is that would have been all over our board if it was the other way, but I couldn't give a chit because I would know we were better.
However if we stuff City I will have a remark or two to make, as a winner.
