Foreign clubs should be all over any semi decent english talent, easy cash, some midtable club will buy them back if they dont end up being great

It's actually getting quite ridiculous now.

Any other club on the planet would be getting praised to the heavens for how they have managed him and RLC this season.

However with us the complete opposite even in our own fanbase.

Comes on in a cup final (while Foden stays firmly on the opposite bench) and it's ignored by almost everyone.

Gets an England call up on the back of his appearances here and it's somehow spun into a narrative that we hold him back

It's actually quite ridiculous when I really think about it

No time for Carragher the gobber. Disgusted by Sky taking him back. To your point CHO getting first team time and the opportunity to be around his family and friends can only help him to decide to stay put.

His motivation for wanting to leave initally is key.

If he sees Bayern as a step up there's probably nothing we can do but if its based on game time we'll probably win the battle to keep him.

I think the fact he's playing more regularly in important games, the england call up, fact he's been here so long and the fact he will probably be all but guaranteed weekly starts when hazard goes, plus a massive pay rise will keep him here

Personally I don't think it's quite as ridiculous as you make out.

I'm my opinion he was criminally underused in the early part of the season. It's only the last 6/8 weeks he's actually starting getting anything more than the cannon fodder in the early rounds of the EL and the occasional few minutes in league games.

Its taken longer than it should have for him to convince Sarri that he's no worse a bet than his competition!

Maybe at the start of the season but certainly not now, 25-30 appearances including cup finals and semi's at Wembley as a 17-18 old is not to be sniffed at.

If any of the young players can feel a little aggrieved at appearances or lack of this season is Ampadu, I think if someone said at the start Hudson would get 25-30 apps with very few of them being token appearances with the game done (can only recall Bate and Huddersfield on that score) and a cup final appearance (possibly 2) I think we would have all bit his hand off.

You said it yourself DL11, at the start of the season. I'd go as far as to say until late Feb early March.

By then we'd indulged Willy and Pedro far too long.

And yes, I agree with you tha Amps can feel a little aggrieved.

Why does anyone take Carragher seriously? Even before the spitting incident, I've never understood what people saw in his punditry that made them think he had any credibility to his opinions.

I don't get a chance to watch it too much atm, but he used to get regularly owned by Gary Neville on Monday Night Football

Great player. Terrible pundit.

Going off topic, has anyone seen Mourinho's punditry for BeIN sports?

Talks about himself WAY too much (obviously lol), but the moments when he doesn't he's actually very good. Worth checking out.

CHO was under used prechirtmas but since then sarri has played him high profile league games, European games, cup semis and finals and is now in the best 11 and firmly in the England set up.

He is or being offered a large contract at Chelsea with garanteed game time playing for a club that he has been at since he was 8 y/o playing front of fans that already adore him.

If the media or pundits want to spin different ways to sound outraged let them.
