Give Iwobi another season to prove himself. attacking players usually start producing at age 23.
I don't get what it is about our fans being so quick to get rid of our useful academy players

There are probably at least a dozen wide attacking players among bottom half Premier League teams better than Iwobi. The problem is not that he shows the understandable inconsistency of young players. He's just fecking garbage and doesn't belong at this level of football. Never seems to do anything productive

Iwobi has had some very effective games this season, the majority arguably off the bench.
Dont see any positive in selling him really. He isnt stopping us signing anyone, he isnt stopping a youth player stepping up. Both can happen with him in the squad.

I've followed Son since he was in Germany and there's never been a time I thought he looked waaank. He's struggled for consistency in periods at Spurs (even earlier this season), but his menace is clear.
The problem with Iwobi is there is no standout feature of his game. Ox for example had glaring weaknesses, but whenever the team was down, you always felt he could change the game with his driving runs. Iwobi has little pace, directness or dynamism in his play. He sees himself as more a technician which is why he obsessively cuts inside trying to link up play, but he's crap at that cos his touch is often heavy, and his passing is sloppy, and his technique is clumsy. Then there is the fact he is utterly unproductive. It's not just his lack of execution, but he has little hunger to take responsibility and make decisive moves and score. A front 3 player that can't give you more than 3 goals a season is problematic even by Huddersfield standards.
What I find weird in people defending Iwobi when I have a go at him is that there really are like 2 dozen wide attackers in the league better than him. He is THAT mediocre. There are mid-table teams I'd bet good money that Iwobi would warm the bench. He probably won't start for relegated Fulham over players like Babel, Cairney and Sessegnon.
