My mums second husband was a ref and got shed loads of abuse from parents on the side line who had no idea of the laws of the game. I put one of them in hospital for their trouble once when I was home on leave.
My family had been getting abusive phone calls from

In the UK parents can be ’s but I coached in the US in 2011 and tbf to the parents, they just let you get on with it, most of them know very little about “soccer” and just defer to your better judgment. I remember one parent asking if professional soccer pays well...
That was my experience anyway.
I feel for the this club, it sounds like they were trying to, in my opinion, do the right thing and give everyone a run out and have ended up 3K down.

In my Missus work a black bloke accused one of his colleagues of racism, the accused was suspended for 4 months whilst under investigation, the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. This is the fifth time the same guy has made these accusations and no evidence of racism has ever been proven. He’s been moved from pillar to post because of the disruption he causes. My Missus is now his boss, he told a number of work colleagues that he was going to smash her face in, has he been suspended? As he feck, HR want to try mediation first. Like I said this country is a joke.
