Big game for Wolves to get back on track. Massive game for Brighton who are in a straight survival race with Cardiff. If we get the first goal it could be a comfortable win but it will become difficult if Brighton get ahead. After recent results I would be surprised if Bennett isn’t recalled but don’t see the need for any other changes.

In the race for 7th we could do with West Ham getting at least a draw at home to Leicester but we will probably need a win to stay above Watford who play at Huddersfield

I’ve been to see Brighton a few times this season. Without Knockaert, they are not the best in wide areas going forward, so I would be tempted to start Traore and Vinagre at wing back to get at them.

They will play with a midfield three in an attempt to crowd out the midfield. However, Dale Stephens who regularly plays at the base of the 3 has no spacial awareness; so our midifelders should really be pressing him as he has a mistake in him.

They are quite a negative side to be honest a lot of the time and don’t really tend to press until the close of the game if they are losing. As long as we are mindful of the counter attack, we should really be looking to dominate the play today.

That takes me back to last-orders at the pub, (or more accurately the "hotel", bar. Happy days.

Brighton will benefit from having Pascal Gross back in their team. He has missed a fair chunk of the season with injury and is by far their most creative player. For goals they rely too much on Glenn Murray who is a decent finisher but barely premier league quality.

Wolves really should win this but then there have been similar games when we should but didn’t

T shirt n shorts weather today. Warmer here than Malta where I've been for the last week.

We should win today, Brighton look blunt and shorn of confidence. However they seem to be targeting this game as the one to get them the points they need to keep them up. Expect they'll come out strong and have a real go at us, which might suit us. I'd be tempted to give Traore and or Vinagre a run out again, a tactic that worked well against Cardiff. We could murder them on the break with those two supporting Jota and Jimi.

Great opportunity to banish the shocking record we have against Brighton too. Let's hope the mentality is right.

Interesting stat on Jimenez.

He is currently 10th in the in the list of Premier League strikers for league goals and assists with 12 goals and 7 assists.
I would expect him to add to those figures today.

Only 17 degrees c here at the moment with very strong easterly wind. Have been out in the bay this morning securing a 38 ft yacht which was getting too close for comfort to another one. Too late to help the one that is lying on the beach though

It’s certainly warm here in the Hogs Head “garden”, I would go 3 up top to start Traore wide, cut them up early on , worth changing things a bit

When Traore makes his inevitable 2nd hald appearance will he contribute a) nothing or b) be a 12th man for Brighton

posted on 20/4/19

Bennett for Saiss no surprise but I didn't see Donc getting dropped for MGW coming.

As he will probably come on as a replacement for MGW or Jota I'll go with "a". If, on the other hand, he comes on for Doherty it could be "b".
