Was Ole the wrong choice?

Well, you never know a risk was unnecessary until you've taken it.
Time will tell. But what stands true about Ole than the other managers we've had sine SAF, is that he gets UTD.
Hopefully that will keep him in good stead. But if this was to unfortunately backfire, i won’t be blaming Ed for it. Unless he doesn't give the help Ole needs... Ed just simply cannot be the point man anymore.
I dont want to believe this man is so arrogant that he wants all the power, and wants to top Gil, which on the pitch, will never happen.
Just appoint a footballing person as Director and stop being foolish.
Ed reads Ja606 right?

I think that Ole & Mick Phelan will sort it out but they will need a little time. Not signed one player yet this time next season is when I will start to form an opinion.

Only time will tell if he was the right choice. Only a moron would try and judge him before he has even had 1 transfer window

This sounds like an article written by someone with hurt feelings because they didn't like hearing the truth.

It clearly hasn't.

He hasn't made an opinion either way. Were you born this stupid or have you had to work on it?

There's 5 games left with the last game on the 12th of next month. What more do you hope to learn about ole in these 4 or 5 weeks other than if he achieved what was the difficult goal of finishing in the top 4

I do agree that trying to recreate the Fergue era was a mistake.

It can’t be recreated, refs we’re afraid to give penalties against a Fergie side, opposition managers would concede before kickoff, and if more time was needed it was always on offer.

No other manager after him was going to get the same privileges and would have to win with the players on the pitch. Moyes was doomed before the first match.

Who tried or is trying to recreate the fergie era ?

Also the utd way actually pre dates fergie

What were refs and managers afraid of? What could an old man do to them?

OGS has a better record than SAF so he must be doing something right.

If someone said that Man Utd would win 9 consecutive away matches after that thrashing at Liverpool especially against the teams Man Utd faced they would think they are mental. Our poor recent run away from home in the league is more due to being unlucky at both ends rather than tactics. OGS completely schooled Unai Emery and Nuno Santo but lost due to freak games were everything pretty much went against us.
