played well enough at Anfield and Etihad to get something tbf, performances have been there atleast.

There's a pretty strong correlation with our tough away games.

Burnley and Saints are the two that are tough to take. Winning those would have guaranteed top 4 and we could have solely focused on the champions league.

Imo 8 points will probably be enough from here and I think we will do it.

Southampton was ridiculous as I said on the match thread we keep creating enough chances to get a result and coming away with naff all.

They have lost their last 4 Prem games, which included Liverpool, Chelsea and City, so hardly surprising really.

Chances missed is what have cost Spurs, even against both Liverpool and City today, Spurs should have been coming away with points.

Yes even we'd drawn the Burn, South and Liver games our top 4 position would be so much stronger.

Spurs played well, and were close to getting something today.
Obviously losing 11 games over a season isn't ideal.
Going to be a close battle for top 4.

It’s a bit of a red herring

Those games included Chelsea, pool and city. Should have won at pool and could have drawn today. Also losing at saints was atrocious and we should’ve been out of fight st half time

Wow I just looked up your results. I thought this was a WUM. How can Spurs lose 8 consecutive away games and nobody talk about it?!

Because we have not lost eight consecutive away games. If you want to include European games Spurs won at Dortmund. The lost in the FA Cup with a reserve side and lost narrowly to Chelsea, Liverpool, City, all games they should have got something out of. Only bad defeats for me were Burnley and Southampton, two games they absolutely dominated.

Also you forget Spurs still won more games than any other club in the Prem this season.

I’m not on about fans on the wind up, more so the lack of coverage in the media. Arsenal and Chelsea’s poor away form has been highlighted recently, where I always thought Spurs decent on the road but their record is just as bad in 2019 if not worse

Fair enough. 8 away defeats to selective opposition is a bit agenda driven but I’m still surprised at the stat regardless

It’s because at one point we had the best away record In the league.

It’s just evened it self out

Well it really isn`t. This season Spurs have won more games and scored more goals away from home than any other team in the Prem.

It’s 8 consecutive DOMESTICALLY, or 5 straight prem away games, or 8 out of 9 lost......whichever way you wanna slice it, it’s the reason we are biting our nails for top 4 and out of both domestic cups

Well I am not biting my nails, it was always going to pan out like this. The three home games, and the Bournemouth away game should be more than enough to see Spurs back in 3rd in my opinion. We knew we had teams like Chelsea, City and Liverpool to play aroundabout this time of the season, so I had factored in three defeats there. The home games we are winning, so should not be a problem.

posted on 20/4/19

You have top 4 sorted. Nothing to worry about. Will probably finished 3rd comfortably even if you lose to Bournemouth

We were brilliant up to the Burnley game Bats, 11 wins in 13 on the road

Since then it’s been shiiit

Just shows the gap in quality between the top 2, and the rest.
Liverpool could finish 2nd, on 97 points, having lost 1 game all season, while spurs could finish 3rd losing 11 or 12 games.

posted on 20/4/19

Yeah massive gap in quality. I mean we just knocked city out the champions league....oh wait

In fortunate circumstances, the fact you're 20 points off the pace shows the gap in quality. Ajax knocked out Real and Juve ffs.

We were pretty much on a par with city and Liverpool up until February, injuries have taken their toll, squads aren’t equal but first 12-14 players we aren’t far off
