Scotland's 3rd and 4th best teams.....44 fouls in 90 minutes....what the fook. Thankfully this excuse for a football match wasnt on nationwide TV
Listened to a bit on the radio, sounded a bit nasty at times
The ref was rank, even Wille Miller said so
8 yellows and three reds....deary me...attention seekers

I just saw the stats and read a bit about it.... 44 fouls isn't tasty....it's brutal. 23 fouls by Killie, 21 by Dons....big result in ensuring 3rd place and the prize money, etc.

My local town Montrose could finish in the play offs in league one!
Almost out the leagues a few seasons ago, what a turnaround for a wee club
If Falkirk go straight down - and they obvious favs at this point - then long way back as a club going part-time a certainty
Wtf has happened to Falkirk?
Couple colleagues in work support them but haven't gone last couple years.....Falkirk badly run and spent a fair bit of money relatively this season to stay up Seen some good games up there Including a 5-4 win...would be surprised if they went down then out the box tbh

Margaret Laing has to take a lot of the blame for that situation . Well Martin Ritchie the former chairman is still hanging about behind the scenes which isn’t really helping. But Margaret Laing is utterly clueless about football.
And unfortunately she is wanting to make a wee name for herself in the game so she has taken a couple of bold decisions which have gone spectacularly wrong. But she is still there somehow..
They should never have sacked Peter Houston in the first place. He had good results in the league cup group but started the league badly last season. He had done more than enough to get given a chance and a bit of time to sort it out though.
Instead the board (which is an utter shambles) decided to punt Houston and brought in the wee nyaff Hartley.
It’s been downhill from there. They tried to copy the Brentford model and binned their very successful youth academy. They employed an agent down south to recruit players through and brought in about 15 guys who were well off the required standard. And the club gave a lot of them 2 year dealsπ©
Hartley didn’t last long and was followed by the Ray McKinnon fiasco.
It’s been one disaster after another and been driven from the board room which is populated by misplaced egos and hangers on. The closing of the academy was utterly ridiculous and completely unnecessary no matter what keech Margaret Laing comes out with. That was a massive part of the clubs identity and lost them a huge amount of goodwill from the fans.
She also appointed a chief exec on £60k pa who adds no value whatsoever. Pointless
Fan groups have been trying to get in on the running of the club all season. And the first thing they want to do is start the academy back up.
The board has got it so badly wrong and decided to fixate on the short term prize of trying to get to the premier. In doing so they ignored and discarded everything that was good about the club.
And now they are going down rather than up.
Pretty shameful stuff.
Well you did ask.....πππ
Spot on Hamish.... academy binned with costs the excuse but they got very good money for their young players who went down south and are becoming first team regulars there so more money may follow- it was a short term, short sighted decision
Big egos always fcck up, and blame everyone else for it.
I would rather Stevie Clarke became Celtic manager than take the Scotland job.
You walk through the corridor to the tunnel at the Falkirk stadium and the wall is covered in pictures of guys like Arfield, Stevie Kingsley - even guys like Mark Kerr and Lee Miller etc.
It sets a culture for the club. It was a club where local kids had a route to the professional game. It was a massive part of the community because of that.
Now because one or two individuals who don’t really know the game and think they are smarter than they are have made some bonkers decisions they have killed it stone dead.
Falkirk don’t have an identity any more. And they are looking at relegation rather than promotion.
‘Project Premier’ as it was called within the club has been an unmitigated disaster. And the board need to take the blame for it but they won’t.

Most of that is probably spot on, but calling The Beard a wee nyaff is worthy of a call out. In fact, can I watch when you stroll up to Paul and call him that.

He is a wee nyaff. And I have met him on more than one occasion and every one of those occasions wa too long.
He has all the social skills of a badly vandalised bus stop.
Last years Falkirk POTY do he didn’t say a word. Just sat at his table scowling. Then he bolted before the end and didn’t speak to a single fan.
Hartley is an embarrassing wee ned in my experience π
Hamish
You are entitled to your opinion but the suggestion was you walk up to him and call him a nyaff.
By your own admission. You had the opportunity but bottled it. QED.
