BBC has it down at £850m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bbc have it wrong then don’t they. It’s in our reports published last month

£1.1b cost of the stadium, training ground & lodge which currently has a debt of just over £400m.

It’ll go up slight next year due to the over run but then we should have the naming rights to cut it down again.

All in all it doesn’t matter to ffp so it’s all good

City have by far been the most successful club in the last 8 years, receiving far more than other clubs in prize money and on a par with anybody when it comes to TV income.

Why do some cretins delude themselves that we totally rely on a rich owner?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah stop

Wed all take the money as fans but lets not talk bollox
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know - it’s ridiculous!

Nobody is begrudging them a bit of success but fack me - the absolute refusal to just admit it’s come about because the club has been finically doped by a nation state with a dubious human rights record is beyond the facking pale. Deny, deflect, play dumb and claim poor little City built themselves up by honest endeavour and organic growth, skilfully reinvesting the spoils of their hard earned victories and everyone from UEFA to opposition fans is just jealous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbf it’s just the likes of Boris that seems to think they’ve got to where they are now because of ‘organic growth’, most level headed City fans know they’ll still be shipping in 8 goals to Middlesbrough if it wasn’t for the Sheikh.

Organic Growth

It's like listening to Monty fekin Don.

City's owners have pumped a fortune into the club and now it makes a profit AFTER the transfers, AFTER the wages and the profit comes from being successful.

You're owned by a traitorous tax exile who wrecked the economy of this country and caused 1,000's of people to lose their jobs and their savings.

Don't embarass yourself by going on about Human Rights you absolute clown.

Ripleys

“True. Barcelona away, Newcastle away, Barcelona at home in the space of 6 days is tough. Playing on Friday before the Barca away game the following Wednesday is a bonus in terms of days rest though.”

We play Barca away first on the 1st, Newcastle 7:45 on the 4th and then Barca at home on the 7th.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ouch!

Tough run of games.

On one hand MKSpur is laughing at City’s oil money. But wants them to win the league for the second year on the trot over us

It's a funny ol game!

As if Lewis indiscretions could hold a candle to some of the human rights abuses overseen by City’s owner(s).

If the hypocritical media are hypocritical against every club according to the fans of every club, are they therefore hypocritical?

Comments like this one are proof that there is some truth in what Ace is saying here.

I mean, City fans disagreeing with what Ace was saying but then they go on to prove him right by doing the exact same thing he said on this very article.

The article itself is proof that Ace, like him or not, made a valid point re City fans pretending they can't see the elephant in the room.

City fans be like "what elephant you talking 'bout?"

Probably because you've won 1 more title than United over the past 8 years, have won a similar amount of domestic trophies, they have a far higher revenue stream than you, and yet you've still massively outspent them in these 8 years.

What valid point has he proved exactly?

Have City benefited from having a rich owner?

Of course we have, we don't deny it, fans paid for a banner inside the stadium thanking Sheikh Mansour.

Do City now make a modest profit?

Yes.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-city-break-500-million-barrier-revenues-report-104m-profit-after-premier-league-title-a8536256.html

Do City receive a massive cash injection from their owners every season?

No, if you disagree, prove me wrong.

Have City been the most successful club over the last 8 years?

Yes, if you disagree, prove me wrong.

And so we come to the end of yet another happy season, with bitchiness very much alive and kicking amongst football fans.

Why? Feked if I know, or even care. I hold no animosity towards opposition fans, I couldn't give a toss about their or our's attempts at out-bitching each other.

I go to games to be entertained, enthralled at the skill of those who can play the game.

I don't know who will win the PL, I hope the Reds do, but if City make it, then well done to them. We've had a fantastic season, I strongly suspect Jurgen has got us where we are a tad early, well done to him, another CL final beckons. Again.

All I'm interested in is seeing good football, and with LFC, I do.

“Have City been the most successful club over the last 8 years?”

Out of curiosity, why the last 8 years? Why not 5 or 10 years?

posted on 21/4/19

OK, over the last 10, 5, 3, 2 years - Take your pick.
