I have no love for Albion and would love to see them dumped out of the playoffs by Villa.
So my 3 would be Norwich, Leeds and Villa
Not Boro or West Brom please. Two facking depressing teams. I'd like to see Leeds up. Norwich are there, and I like seeing new faces so Bristol City.
I would be happy to see Norwich and Sheff Utd get automatic promotion and Derby from the play offs. Never had a downer on Villa so would take them as an alternative
Certainly want Albion to stay down plus Leeds and Boro and Bristol
Leeds, Norwich(there already) and sheff utd.
I want the best three promoted, they earned it this term
Agree with Cinci, should always be the top three. The farce of the playoffs should be ended.

I agree also. Farce is the correct word to describe the playoffs.
No problem with the play offs. Make for an exciting end to the season and keeps the interest going to the end of the normal season for 7 or 8 teams rather than 3 or 4. Not many leagues that don’t use them nowadays for those reasons, so don’t see them going away
It surely is not right that after 46 games to find the best three teams that one the finishes 6th can be promoted.
The playoffs are a lottery.
You are correct in saying they will not go away as there is money to be made.
I understand why the do it and on some occasions the better team by the end of the season could be sitting sixth and not third but it is a little unfair.
But this season these three have been the stand outs but I wouldn't bet on either of Leeds or sheff utd getting past Villa currently who have basically got their act together for three or four months out of the nine.
Agree the play offs are a lottery boston. Final league position and even current form are not a guide to who wins them, just who produces on the day, and maybe even just who gets the rub of the green on the day.
But the league is not to find the best three teams, it’s to find the best two, then the next four qualify for the play offs. Thems the rules from August and to me it would only be unfair if those rules weren’t clear from the beginning

I agree with this, due to the reasons DJ gives, whilst also understanding the reason why others favour straight top 3 going up. You have to remember that the play-offs actually keep the season alive for a whole lot more clubs than would have any interest otherwise.
To go up I'd like to see Norwich, Leeds, and Sheffield United, but because I recognise that the last thing West Brom would want is for Villa to go up, I'd be happy for Villa to take the 3rd promotion place.
As the playoffs keep the season alive for a lot of clubs, why not keep it alive for even more and have playoffs for the third relegation place as well?
I would be happy with Villa for some West Midlands rivalry, although the chances of me getting an away ticket are slim to non-existent, the consensus of the people I was sitting on the train with on Saturday was that judged by previous form Leeds are likely to blow it
The playoffs were a great idea, Teams know from the start what the situation is, and makes for an exciting season.
The season would have been over long before now for a lot of teams, fans would be bored and simply waiting for the season to end.
Playoffs do a good job of keeping teams and fans interested for the season.
Oh Norwich, Sheffield, Bristol would be my choices.
But dont think thats what will happen.
Sorry to be contrary - Norwich are up, but would love Villa and the Baggies to come up - makes for interesting/exciting local derbies. Having said that I thinl 2nd will be between Leeds and Sheff Utd
Norwich seem to have the title and one would expect either Leeds or Sheffield United to grab the 2nd spot. As for the play offs...Villa have been on a very good run, so my 3 would be Norwich, Leeds and Villa.
Yeah I think Villa come out of the play offs
Villa could make it 10 wins in a row if they beat Millwall today.
No doubt Villa are the form team but can’t believe they have suddenly become unbeatable. 10 on the trot is quite an achievement, 11 more so, 12 even more and by the time it gets to the play offs they may need to win a 15th successive game and the law of averages could start fielding against them
Yeah that run has to end soon though they could afford a defeat in the play off first round and scrape by if lucky
Villa's next game is away to Leeds.
My Villa supporting mates are unbearable at the moment. Went on a stag do in Benidorm last week and you would have thought Villa were about to win the Chanpions League and Grealish was Lionel Messi. They were even trying to lord it over me as a Wolves fan, which was quite amusing to be honest. Kept asking me if I enjoyed my ‘big day out’ at Wembley over and over again.
Would love them to slip up in the playoffs at Wembley again. I wouldn’t be vocal about it, just knowingly smile at them.
