This.

Woodwood looks like Bambi caught in head lights when he watches it all go belly up on the pitch.

He is actually quite pathetic looking. Totally second rate and boy, doesn't he not know it.

Could it be that Ed Woodward is a control freak who won’t quite let anyone else do what he does?

At the very least he has zero self awareness. You’d have thought the club would stop telling him to sit in the stands with his trademark glum face when we lose as it just makes us look more like a joke club seeing that avatar of doom on a weekly basis which only adds to the speculation

The control freak is probably bang on the money robb... He'll appoint someone but not want to give up too much responsibility

I hope it's not true.
With Fergie we had
Kidd, played some great gung ho football.
McClaren. We played gung ho but with more nous, 1999 he was assistant.
Queiroz. Probably our best football.
Phelan and Meurenstein (spelling) we played boring but successful football.

I would go for McClaren as assistant if possible, or Queiroz. Older heads for Ole to rely on.

G;Neville or VDS as DoF.

You remove Ed, you pretty much remove all the goodness that comes with money making from him. Ed will use this as a bargaining tool to stay in his job and he knows this. The owners prefer to have someone run the club more directly than not at all, and who better than the money man Ed in their eyes.

We have plenty of money and will continue to do well without Ed. He’s a massive problem

Yes we do Baz. But Ed has elevated this club higher with his immaculate expertise. He’s the best in this field. Something the owners strongly hold onto sadly.

Move him to a position that is only concerned with that. Keep him away from football decisions.

Exactly. Ed isn't the only person ever to market a product well. There must be others that can continue/extend the good work off the field that he's done. All whilst getting in others that can improve the football side of the club, which is the raison d'être of MUFC after all.

This is a product that’s not a tough sell either.

He isn't just a marketing man for the Glazers and he won't be moved

He's the reason they're here... The man behind the leveraged buy out... He's here until they leave, and when they do its probably on his say so
