Ajax, how good are they?

We won't be playing our strongest team in the first leg at home so I think that makes Ajax overall favourites.

Yeah they are obviously good but people are getting a little carried away over them

They are very good from what I’ve seen.

Strong in defence, great passers in midfield and a fast and cleaver attack.

I would honestly say they have as good of a team as us.

Its 50 50 I reckon.

The second leg is on my birthday.
They can’t hand me the biggest disappointment of my life on my birthday

Haven't seen them play but I do think they are being overrated. However well they have done to beat Madrid and Juve, they aren't better teams than them. The same way we aren't a better team than city, these results so happen.

I am concerned about both Son and Kane being out. I really fancy us to get stuck into them first leg but without those two goals will be difficult to come by.

Clearly an excellent side. You don’t score 107 goals I your domestic league, get to the domestic cup final and CL semi final and be “over rated”!! They are a class outfit, but I would still 100% choose playing Ajax over 2 legs than Liverpool or Barca. We got the best draw no doubt and a fantastic chance to make the final.

Don't give them time on the ball. If you play a 90 minute english style of football you will blow them away. They are not used to play against that style as most teams here are rubbish.

The first half against Juve they didn't get out from their half. Juve tired in the second half and were punished on the counter. Spurs have the pace and power in defence and midfield to deal easily with their players. Tadic was average in this league and he is one of their best attackers.

Haven't seen much of Tottenham but I think people are overrating them. They looked awful against a mediocre Barcelona side and got out of the group thanks to the good fortune of only having to go to the Nou Camp when Barca had nothing to play for. The fact that Spurs needed a last minute winner against PSV is not encouraging.

Ajax are clearly the vastly superior side, but you never know what's going to happen in football.

They are an excellent side, I said a while back, they were the best side I had seen this year. That said I reckon it is 50/50. Spurs themselves are an excellent side as well, so no need to be afraid, just a bit annoying once again though in a semi-final cannot get our strongest side on the pitch.

What does Son have to do (other than not be Korean) to get the credit he deserves? Kane is not on his level and hinders the team.

They’ve knocked out 2 top sides so must be pretty fackin good
I take it Son is suspended as he isn’t injured

Barry - you really aren't funny. I know that you think you are, but you're not.

Agree with this, the team is more fluent without Kane.

Ajax are playing the best football in the CL. They are fearless as well. Nearly 2 years on from the Europa League and Ajax have massively improved so they are for me are the team I expect to win the CL.

Most of their quality players will be sold so they will go back to being rubbish.

They'll have the same manager, they have 100 mil in the bank and another 200 mil from transfers and youth ready to step up. Hardly problematic.

Do Monaco have an academy and club with the Cruyff philosophy?

The project is not that old. Cruyffs velvet revolution at Ajax started in 2010. Changing culture and youth development takes time.
