Was Stretty right?

Although the squad was aging, SAF still left us with some gems like De Gea, Zaha (he will improve our current team massively). He also could have binned Rooney the season after. It was not his fault Moyes decided to give Rooney a new contract, then strengthened our midfield with Fellaini wasn’t it?

Stretty was often right tbh... A lot more than Robb has been (which is true... But also a blatant nudge for your article comment count)

He was just a massive dïkk in how he said things

A stopped clock etc..

Stretty was right occasionally.

It was the way he went about it that got on people's nerves.

Many others have said similar things myself included.

People like Young, Fellaini etc should never have been regular starters for United.

Our quality players have gradually diminished. No debate there really.

Also, Stretty’s argument wasn’t that our quality was diminishing. His argument was that every single player was rubbish.

I think SAF's greatness made us a little complacent in that everything would be OK even when he left. Think it's vital now though that we plan correctly.

Pretty much this, never came across someone so angry before. And he seemed to hate immigrants coming into the country, yet supported Corbyn. Odd bloke.

People have forgotten just how moronic Stretty actually was - Mario Gomez 😂😂

You were both equally wrong.

Like all of us, he was sometimes right and sometimes wrong.

When you slate almost every player, you are gonna get it right at times.

He was funny though, hope he comes back

This board is definitely better off without him.

Strettys world class player comments on that legendary article by me were genius

Him saying you can only have one world class player per position - and spending 1000 comments debating it. The golden days

Stretty was a decent poster on the old 606, but i think somewhere along the line he had some sort of mental breakdown.

The Charlie Austin nonsense was concerning. I referred his account to the NHS at that point.

I think for me it was when he said Ronaldinho wasnt world class.

That's before even getting into his views on evolution

Yes and no.... The club itself yes... Most of the fans saw what was coming

The lack of midfield investment etc, reliance on the older players ... Most were screaming on here that it would cost us in the long run

Of course the odd one used to rant about how we were ungrateful and didn't understand football etc
