What about a cheeky bid for Jack Marriott? The Rams may need to raise some cash.
I think Lolley will stay. I'm more worried about the rumours linking Carvalho with Olympiakos.
We won't agree on Grosicki, Will. I can't see him having any resale value.
I also see we are being linked with Lawrence Shankland from Ayr United. Probably just his agent trying to talk up a deal. Has good stats but in Championship up there so probably on a par with our league 2. Remember Jason Cummings?
I can't see the sheep letting their little lamb join us, nor can I see him and Grabban working out as two up. I bide my time on a striker and see how Walker, Karim, and Soudani look in pre season and first couple of games.
Carvalho situation is interesting. Will Mendes have an influence in the decision?
I’m also a bit wary of signing another lower league Scottish striker after the Cummings failure. The standard up there isn’t great. There have also been issues settling in down in England as experienced when McKay.
Mendes is bound to be acting for one 9or more) of the three parties in the Carvalho situation so he is bound to influence what happens.
Leeches and parasites ruined football
Today's name is Martin Olsson.
Today's response from me is the same: Over 30 - No Thanks.
It seems that word has got round among footballers nearing the end of their career that they could get a decent contract at the City Ground.
Oxford quoting £4m for their midfielder! Dream on?!
Today's name is Albert Adomah and guess what he's over 30.
Actually he is a player I always worry about when we come up against him. He can cause problems on his day but his day doesn't seem to come round often enough. He is not Michail Antonio, and at 30+ he never will be. Not only that will MON and his coaches make him a better player? because that is who we should be signing - players who will become better players.
I want this window to define our recruitment strategy - so far it is not looking good. I would prefer to sign nobody that some of the names being mentioned.
Soudani off the wage bill. Shame it didn't work out for him
Disappointed to see Soudani leave. Was looking forward to seeing how he fared injury free. He was a bit of a different proposition to the other forwards at Forest. Oh well.

I agree. Not consistent enough and would coming for one last pay day.
Nicko and the sun saying we have signed Alan Hutton. Cracking, wonder if he has got an older brother we could sign.
Hutton isn’t a bad player at this level. On a free he isn’t much of a risk. Might just push Darikwa hard enough to illicit some proper consistency from him? He isn’t the most exciting signing but let’s see what else the summer brings...
Vellios is off to a Greek club so that’s another one off the wage bill. Move on the likes of Cummings et al and it will help bring the squad down to a more manageable size and make life a lot simpler for the coaching staff.
Alfreton away is the first pre-season fixture on the horizon. Likely to be used for all the fringe players such as Clough, Walker and others to stake a claim before MoN decides on their futures.
Guardian reckons that Sammy Ameobi will be MoN’s first signing of the summer. He is a free agent after leaving Bolton. Not really set the world alight consistently over the years but hopeful he may find his feet at the CG. Not sure Forest need another winger unless...

Roy Keane has left the club. - Didn't see that coming
Sammy Ameobi: Tall and quick. Could be a game changer off the bench but not too fussed.
Regarding Hutton - we would only sign him if Byram was a not coming.

Cousin is a Bolton fan and he said Ameobi is a 1 in 4 game player. Ended up in and out of their side a lot. Maybe playing in a better team will bring out the talent he undoubtedly has?

Yes, I reckon Byram is too expensive a risk given his injury problems anyway. I’d take him on another season long loan but I guess WHU want to sell.
WHU must know they won't get a big fee for Byram given his injury record. If he went on loan to a Championship club and he played 15-20 games before Christmas his transfer value would increase considerably

Yes, I suppose they’re hoping for a Championship club to get a bit flash with the cash this summer.
