3-1 was well deserved imho actually think 4-1 would have been fairer.
3 or 4 times we played that cut back behind the 6 yard box where Ramsey is usually there to shoot but they ended up being cleared by Valencia defenders instead.
We really need that player who makes those runs from deep but unlike Ramsey, put in consistent top class performances and not get injured all the time
Basically we need Kevin De Bruyne.

We are still awfully disorganised in defence but our pressing tonight was brilliant and caused Valencia all sorts of problems. That's where we won the match.

We surely have some issues. As Bats says we are missing a guy in midfield or maybe two. One for creativity, one for the running.
Rebuilt a defense that deserved to be called defense should be our main task. You see at Liverpool how important is a stable defense.
Last word from my side. Kos was massive tonight.
Defence should be no1 priority. 2 CB, LB and maybe even a RB.
If we had money to spend I'd get - Maguire, Chilwell, Wan Bikaso, De Ligt. £200 Mil plus right there.

I don't see midfield as a crisis area compared to our lack of wingers or any attacking midfielders with some kind of drive and dynamism. Ozil and Mkhi aren't wingers and have been mostly crap. Iwobi wouldn't start for Fulham. People continue to play down our problems in this area, but in a season, we lost Ox, Alexis and Walcott and didn't bring in similar replacements. That is a genuine crisis area and it affects how we play, how we set up and even how we defend. Teams are well suited to squeezing up high against us and suffocating and pressuring us because we lack players who can burst through the lines or get behind the opposition defense and keep them on the backfoot.

Factoring our limited budget, I'd say we "need" one top CB coming in (Skoratis, Kos, Holding and the returning Chambers would provide decent cover) and Mustafi getting traded to the German 2nd division, one RB, a playmaker (a Rosicky or Santi-type player) and our top marquee signing should be a top winger/wide forward.

Depends on what you mean by "good enough". Again, he is no worse than the options of our other rivals in his position. Players like Jorginho, or Henderson, or Winks, or Matic etc. Now compare garbage like Iwobi to Hazard or Mane or Son. Hell, compare him to Ryan Babel. He's pretty much the only winger in our team and he's garbage. The issue is not so much how good we are in CM, but our options are decent and can compete with anyone outside the top 2. But in those wing positions, we are absolute garbage.

Well I guess Monreal's rapid decline this season (he's been our most consistent, solid defender in the previous 3 or so seasons) has exposed us a tad in that area. But I feel like RB is more an emergency. Think of all the times we've played Mustafi or Leichsteiner or Jenkinson or AMN there. I don't know what kind of form Bellerin would be in next season having missed so much football.
