DPL, Coventry - Drexit now or Drexit later!

2 nil victory.
26 to increase his fantastic scoring record.
If no 26 then Marquis

To be fair, we should have beaten Sunderland at home and all but DID beat Charlton at home.
Only a very poor decision by a linesman robbed us that day.
Five more points from those two games alone would have seen us home and dry now and much closer to the top five.

I probably wont dare to look or listen tomorrow. Ive just a feeling it will all go down to the final minutes with No 26 scoring the only goal. So its 1-0. 8926

I'll also go with Copps if he starts, otherwise Wilks (sorry Donaldo!); Score 2-1 to the Rovers, and a crowd of 9191. I'd hope there would be many more, but the weather does not look great - 9C, and 25% chance of rain. I've got a terrible cold and cough and my wife is banning me from setting the alarm to watch the game - if I wake up, I'll watch!

The good news for Micky, 8 hours behind us and therefore in bed now, is that instead of a 7am start, the match will not begin until 9.30am.

There is Interesting media coverage in Peterborough with the local Telegraph finding numerous reasons why we will lose with convenient disregard of the reverse. In fact, having trawled through everything I can find in the local press, there is no mention of the quality or record of their opponents. Have they taken on board that whilst they were conceded 3 at Walsall, Burton were defeating Luton? Coventry’s recent record is highlighted as a reason why they will get the better of us notwithstanding that they could not beat Shrewsbury at home last time out.

The fact is that both Coventry and Burton are in good form overall, away and at home and although neither have any further interest in the play-offs, Burton actually have the incentive of finishing above Coventry by beating Peterborough provided we win. Coventry had that very notable win at Sunderland, but of course Burton drew there and beat Barnsley 3-1 too.

Perhaps the ultimate flimsily based conclusion is that “Coventry are determined to do Peterborough a favour” based solely on their understandable aim to finish the season with a win. Precisely the same could be said of Burton since equally understandably Nigel Clough says that he too wants to end the season with a win.

In contrast, from the Rovers camp, there has been no mention of relying on Burton. It would be nice to see them put one over on Peterborough whose home record is extremely average.

I respect Darren Ferguson for what he did here, but not for the manner of his departure. Perhaps it would not be poetic justice if we got 6th spot, but if there is such a thing as the reverse then a Peterborough win to steal the last spot from us, would be it.

Going to change my usual forecast and go 3.2 victory. Marquis first goal, hope Sadlier gets a start, then Copps to come off the bench to seal it with another notch on his legendary belt. Crowd 10987.

With my cold, and that game, I'm a little breathless at the moment! Congratulations to Grant and the lads - just three more games to go. Charlton will not be easy and I'd have preferred Pompey. Sunderland have really dropped off somewhat, except against the Rovers. I think Luton are worthy Champions, and somehow we managed to beat them at the KM.
I hope the play-offs are on iFollow.

Good grief! - I've just seen the first leg kicks-off at 04:15 Pacific Time on Sunday 12th. That is a little early in the morning -just have cut back on the wine on Saturday night!

First half - not at our best but the assist of the season from Malik. What a battling second half! The lads deserve a crack at promotion just on that 45 minutes alone. Fair play to Posh and Fergie - two wins and six goals. They must be sick.

Credit is due to the team and staff for getting us into the play offs.
Not bad when remembering that Sky had us as relegation favourites.
Coventry are a good team but we handled them well and Marko didn’t have too much to do.
A great, battling performance today, excellent defensively and Marquis was outstanding.
He earned his goal and is back at it at just the right time.
I couldn’t be more happy that Ferguson and his cronies have missed out on the top six.

Bring on Charlton.

Good luck Donny!

Would be great to have three South Yorkshire teams in the Championship.

Really pleased we got over the line without too much angst. From watching the highlights of todays matches Charlton look a very good side at the moment. Nevertheless I think the pressure is off us now and we might well surprise them and the pundits too. Lets hope so. GM was quick to rub the salt in with Peterborough! A really good season and its not over yet.

I bet Ferguson was looking out for the Doncaster score.

Credit to all battled well.and kept the shape very professional.
Andrew had a good game.
Marquis outstanding couldn't agree more Hound.
One important save by marko.
Fantastic cross from wilks good finish from sadlier
Idiots brawling with stewards and pitch invasion was unnecessary.
I am destined never to go to Charlton .
Spanish friends here for 10 days.
Nice to see speak with Sir Francis .

I've just read the iFollow rules and it seems the play-offs are not available live - shame!

A game that had a bit of everything, Marquis has put another million on his value to the warching scouts.
Loved it when Marquis scored and Grant went sprinting down the touchline.
3 more games possible. He could get to 30 goals yet.
Train tickets booked for 2nd leg, then hopefully a game at Wembley against sunlund.
Even if we get beat by Charlton, it's been a hell of a season. Plus I'm 70 quid better off with us finishing in the play offs too 😀
