Valenica haven't been to the CL since Emery left. And he did a pretty damn good job at Sevilla. PSG didn't hire him because he "failed at every club". He got the PSG job in the first place cos he had an impressive resume. Admittedly, he failed in the job. But to say he has "failed at every club" is stupid.

What makes you think Arteta will be any good as a manager? He has no experience of managing a club. I think you need to give Emery a break. If we win tomorrow we go into the last game of the season with a chance of top four and we are one game away from a European final. All this with no support from above, terrible defence, hardly anything in midfield and no wide men.
He's done a good job so far you cant expect him to fix 10 years of stagnation in one season.

Just because we don't have the same war chest as city, it doesn't mean we cannot push or challenge them. Just look at real madrid when they went splurging on the galacticos and failed to win anything. Look Leicester. Look at Monaco, look at Dortmund this year. These teams are challenging without spend big bucks.
You need good team set up, manager with good instructions, a group of players willing to work hard all season with good energy, and of course, luck.

We weren’t expected to be anywhere near these teams in the first place. Who had us dwn for top 4 pre season?! No one. This was a work in progress and we still have a chance this season.

Emery's job is to get us qualified for the Champions League by the end of next season. So far he has done a very good job and but still not hit his main target. He may do it this season!
But to assume that an unproven coach, a no.2 has the ability to do what Emery has already done is reckless.

Arteta would have us challenging for the league and domestic cups, he'll of a lot more than what emery will.
Emery will have us competing for 3rd/4th place during his time here

I was just pointing out that he hasn't done that good a job even as a number 2. You cannot give him credit for Man City doing well in the league and then ignore his performance in the Champions League. And all of that with unlimited money.

So sack Unai and put us in charge with a guy who has never managed a team in his life. The logic with some on here is very strange at times. Thier is no way that Pep gives Arteta the reigns at City , no chance! and let’s not forget he’s part of a coaching team with the best players in the premier league. Unai has had little funds and has 80% Wengers squad. We are on the verge of a European final and a point or two off top 4!. Don’t be ridiculous.

We weren’t expected to be anywhere near these teams in the first place. Who had us dwn for top 4 pre season?! No one. This was a work in progress and we still have a chance this season.
