The basic fee for Hazard is €88m. The add ons that could take the fee to €150m are all based on success so would pay for themselves. Getting over €100m for Ronaldo took away the ffp pressures for a while and like Barca they have the benefit of generating massive sums from attendances, sponsorship and worldwide tv revenue

Awful news. Leyton Orient have just amounted that their manager, Justin Edinburgh, has passed away. Only 49.

Remember him from my Merlin sticker book in 94/95. Very sad and he was doing really with LO.

Not sure if it's an appropriate time for humour, but the man gave me the joke, "Whilst I like Justin Edinburgh, I much prefer just outside Glasgow.

I’m sure he will have heard that one before Bute. Sad loss at that age, being talked about as a genuinely decent guy

The Costa to Leeds story dominating today’s rumours and if he is to go they would offer a decent amount. Cavaleiro to Huddersfield a possibility also although he wouldn’t be rated as highly. And if there is any truth in the Traore to Naples rumour we could recover most if not all of what we paid for him. Bonatini seems set for a move to Fenerbahce.

All good to add to what we have available to spend but if we lose three from our squad then we must bring half a dozen in surely

Seems our hero former manager Dean Saunders May end up behind bars for a short time. Stopped while driving in a drunken state and refused to undertake a breath test

Just reading Rooney's comments on the situation at Man Utd. For an idiot he actually made some good points. Says that they could sign Ronaldo, Messi and others but not solve their problems.

With difficulties at Arsenal and Chelsea we might not have a better opportunity to make the jump to a top 4 side. Of course we would need more than difficulties with other clubs. We also require a top 4 quality side, and we don't quite have that at the moment. I do think the situation at Wolves looks promising, however.

The owners and, I think, the manager and staff, are ready. 2 or 3 quality additions might be enough to step up at the current time, but we would need more than that to remain there.

This transfer window might prove to be the most important in our history. I'm optimistic but not yet content.

Neves, Moutinho and Neves all on the bench for the final tonight. Disappointing that, particularly for Neves. Maybe they can make an impact later in the game

England really aren't very good are they?

They are pretty crap aren't they.
I would suggest that the majority of that team would struggle to get into our team.
United apparently giving a new contract to Lingard paying him £130.000 a week.
Makes a mockery of the whole game,
and he is not the worst.

England lost one game in the Nations League. They got a draw and a win against Croatia the World Cup runners up, beat Spain home and away and went further in the competition than Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

England did better today, should have won easily but sharpness wasn't quite there which isn't surprising considering most of them haven't played a competitive game for weeks.

Helped that they played the liverpool and spurs lads, maybe saving then for the final wasn't such a good idea.

Good to see the wolves quartet posing with the trophy tonight, some great photos doing the rounds.

Facts wrong again DJ, I'm afraid. We lost at home to Spain. I think you're having memory losses.

England lost a record number of games at the last world cup

Scotland

Not even Scotland managed to lose three games at a single world cup, that is left for the likes of Panama, North Korea, Togo and England

I thought England got to the semi final of the last world cup?

Oh I see what you have done there Cinci - you have included a semi final defeat and a third place game defeat (which is of little interest to anyone). Typical jealous little scottish to$$er response

There may have been an element of sarcasm in my post Vinnie, England of course reached the semi finals which is what opened them up to three defeats given they lost the third place match as well.

It would certainly have tied the record though, i doubt any team has ever lost four games in one world cup.

I think the response is entirely appropriate.

I will now be responding to all your posts with:

Again linked with Morgan Sanson from Marseille for around £22m and also with Andre Gomes who would probably cost a fair bit more.

Anyone know where we sit in regards to FFP?
