Allegedly made a second bid for Papa Abou Cisse from Olympiakos.

According to Wikipedia he has already joined us albeit on loan.

Very strange statement has appeared on the Wolves website:

Although we've installed the barriers to allow people to stand safely, supporters are reminded that they must remain seated. WTF?

Are they really expecting people to sit down with a barrier directly in their eye line?

I think that while these barriers make it safer to stand it’s still the rule that persistent standing, ie throughout the game, is not allowed. Good luck with implementing that rule given that everyone in the south bank have been persistently standing for many years even without the barriers.

I do think these barriers will improve safety though and I wish they were in every ground. Regularly at Away games i’ve seen fans falling over the seat in front of them while celebrating goals, and that has lead to quite a few people getting injured

I'd have to see what its like but it looks to me like there these barriers are going to be quite restrictive. There wasn't a lot of room in the rows in the south bank as I recall without the barriers. Will be interesting to see how some of our XLL supporters fair.

Whoops XXL that should be

I expect people to stand and it will be like having the barriers they used to have on the old terraces except that you have a seat behind you rather than 200 people pushing forward and crushing your ribs

I'm sure i saw the other day a comment that the new seats would be locked in the vertical position, if i didn't don't shoot the messenger

posted on 23/7/19

Don’t think that can be right Mike because today they are reminding people that persistent standing is not allowed

Anyone starting to get their undercrackers a little bit moist waiting for arrivals?

Does strike me as a little odd that our season starts Thursday and we have yet to bring a single player in and now will have to wait for whoever arrives to get up to speed rather than being ready to step straight in.

I guess we know a few fell through but still, i am getting a little nervous now we won't get the quality we need

Are Wolves actually going to sign any new players this summer?

Looks like you're heading for second season syndrome!

Jack Ruddy released by Wolves - Ross County.

I'm sure Burgoyne will be gone soon, as we have a surplus of 'keepers.

The seats that have been installed don't appear to be the lock-off-able rail seats, they're the normal seats with a barrier in each row.

Suggestions that the Cutrone deal isn't happening.

Calm down everybody.

Wolfie has identified the need to bring in 3 more players. Once he's decided whether to bring in players better than what we have already, or just decent players, then Nuno will get the go ahead to start signing them.

Papa Abou Cisse may perhaps be the first through the door

The triangle of transfers that Milan were trying to undertake looks like it might all fall apart. They were hoping to sign Correa from Athletico Madrid and pay for it by selling Cutrone to Wolves and Silva to Monaco. But Cutrone is still not convinced he wants to move out of Italy and the Silva sale has fallen through

On this day last year Wolves signed a 31 year old has been in Joao Moutinho for £5m. Let’s hope we can find some players of similar quality in the next fortnight

Seems that André Silva’s transfer to Monaco fell through because he failed a medical. Maybe this guy will never get a transfer

basically we will have problems attracting top foregn players until we are champions league.

Cutrone would be interesting but Italians in the PL seem to flop way, way more than they succeed. Pelle is only recent one I can think of who made an impact. Also Cutrone sounds like he doesn't want to move from Milan and he is still only at the beginning of his career.

Interesting article by Tim Nash on his Wolves bite website. Interview with John Barnwell revealing why he suddenly resigned. Harry Marshall was looking to sell Andy Gray to Leeds against Barnwell's wishes, JB gate crashed the meeting where it was being discussed and demanded 1.5m nett plus a Leeds player. Leeds were offering 600k plus the player, Barney said no way, meeting over. Marshall later confirmed that Barnwell would not get the money from the sale to buy players, so he decided to quit shortly after.

I remember being told this story many years ago by a work colleague who was a mate of the Keith Pearson, club secretary at the time. This guy was a real ITK at a time when there was little worth knowing.

Vinagre has signed a new 5 year deal. Hope he becomes a big player for us.
